Over the past 3+ years I have learned that Adam has some mood swings -- usually his is all lightness and bright when we see him, but occasionally we see the dark side. I think the light and dark sides of TRESPASSING has more truth in it than I care to know.

popdust.com/2012/05/08/adam-lamberts-trespassing-reviewed-never-close-our-eyes/NCOE Review: .....when Lambert’s name slips off the credits, the quality slips as well. Adam does his best with what he’s given, growling and stressing and gospel-belting his way through lines too cliched for him. The problem’s not him, it’s the material–which is particularly baffling, considering there are at least five better singles on this thing. One of them is right after this. (Kickin In?) ...as some of us were saying all along.... after listening to the album I can honestly say that I officially hate US radio and the politics behind the business... mediocrity rules... ...I can only hope that this is the LAST time that Adam had to compromise and have TWO subpar songs released as HIS singles, totally misrepresenting the album - IMO Not only Adam is robbed, but all the "unsuspecting" masses are as well... - IMO WE are lucky, WE KNOW HIM AND HIS MUSIC.... I am promoting his as much as I possibly can... I don't think there are any subpar songs on Trespassing. I think every song is worthy to be on this great album. 8-)

So sad that on this glorious day on so many levels for Adam, NC passed the bill to deny civil rights for the LGBT community. As soon as the CA one is declared unconstiitutional, they will all go away! yes, once prop 8 falls they will all tumble!! it wasn't long ago that the civil rights of african americans were being denied in this same manner so it WILL change!! The RS review of 4 stars is incredible and honestly unexpected.

I have to come here to cheer up and read all the glowing reviews. It's depressing to live in N.C. right now. I read the news a little bit ago. Really sucks. We'll get there eventually (I live in VA). Sighing from California - even the left coast has a ways to go.

I think the light and dark sides of TRESPASSING has more truth in it than I care to know. Rolling Stone seems to bring out his unfiltered, more edgy side for sure. I wonder if it's edited that way or Adam presenting that side for the RS audience. Seems like in both this and the 2009 article, the writers' narratives painted a picture of Adam that is somewhat moody, introspective, and slightly dark. I think it's being framed this way on purpose, I'm just not sure how much is writer and how much is Adam's presentation.
