Yes, Kay, this is it. The amazing thing to me about this speech is that what he says is so logical and basic to human rights! It shouldn't have to be said at all.

At first the 'outsider' comment in the RS interview made me sad, But then I realized that that makes him more fan appealing to me. And who are these "cool kids" anyway???? ETA: I did not mean anything more in my use of "mood swings" more than Adam has a full spectrum of emotions. Ahhh yes Im with you on that. Full spectrum - and i know i sound like a broken record but i come from a culture that suppresses emotional health so yes! it makes him exciting and genuine.

NC vote was expected but depressing. Too bad the turnout was lower in the urban progressive areas vs. the rural areas. But gay rights votes in US are now 31 NO to 1 YES. So not special for NC. Things are changing but not fast enough. sad but true -- i've quit using the word "gay" rights and instead emphasize "civil" rights. It does occasionally produce a blinking eye like maybe the brain is processing a newer concept. Although where I live, being a Methodist is kin to being Al Quaeda, so I hold no hope for progressive thought on the matter.

Is that booklet of pictures from the CD, Box Sex, or is it the one that was produced for the WalMart on line presale? Has this been answered? I would love the booklet as well, Is it just a Walmart exclusive?

The Rolling Stone 4 star rating for Trespassing makes me feel so quietly happy on an otherwise very disappointing day in North Carolina. The passage of an amendment that defines marriage as between a man and a woman effects not only the LBTG community but also domestic partners, and single parents. It was voted down in huge numbers in the metro areas but got heavy support in the rural areas. It can't stand. OK - enough of being a downer. Back to the party and berting for AFL. Queen/Lambert tickets have arrived! On North Carolina vote: Republicans/church members Telephone calls to voters were saying that if you didn't vote for the amendment you would go to hell. I kid you not..I did phone banking to defeat the amendment.so we knew about the calls. There is also talk about some voter Fraud in some large Democratic areas where 18 year olds were not given a ballot with the amendment on it,so they could not vote against it. Lots of real hate here in North Carolina. But also lots of new support ,some of it coming from past bigoted church members..Very large and cohesive grassroots movement going on in some of the towns, like Asheville and I believe Charlotte. Gay couples will continue to say' I do' as part of a grassroots campaign across the state ,asking for permission to marry, To put a face on what gay couples with families look like. To know them as our teachers, firemen ,policemen& women, sons daughters, etc. The conservatives won the battle but we will eventually win the war.The tide is just starting to turn. Many knew we couldn't win it now,but there is more support now for equality in NC than before. Thank you for saying this - it gives me a little hope...

He looks so tired. Hope I'm wrong. Honestly -- when I saw that photo -- the word tired never entered my mind.

Things are changing but not fast enough. The counties with large University populations did vote against the marriage amendment so there is hope for the future. My daughters maintain that the baby boomers have to die off before there will be change. I have to remind them that I am a baby boomer. :-/

Ok. I have to get back to my high after all this civil rights talk.
Thoughts:
ZEUS IN A THONG!!! Why didn't I think of this myself--it's perfect. Maybe there are other Gods that match Adam's personality better but, come on, Zeus is the top God, there is no higher. All powerful, higher than all others. And SEXY!!!! Not the new king of pop, not a rock god or pop god or whatever. Let's just call him Zeus in a thong!
Adam has been telling us he has a dark (sad) side for a long time. I can't be surprised when he speaks of it--both in fitting in with industry peers, or with the radio game. Sad but not surprisng.
So, while I have been, leading my normal, suburban life taking care of kids and family, doing this and that, Adam had sex with a woman! I don't know why but I feel this is huge. Good for him for experiencing something so human, but, man, I was probably just doing laundry at the time!
