I do not understand that description completely either. I get the "hotness part" but the rest -- not so much. Refers to Movie - Blade with extremely sexy looking vampires... I get that but I still do not understand it. Why Blade?? Sorry not the vibe I get from Sauli. The entire line is like a bunch of stuff smushed together.

Is anyone else having problems with the MediaBase Request Forms. Each one I've typed in this a.m. tells me that I've typed in the incorrect confirmation code. Anyone else having that problem? Its very frustrating because the info does not stay loaded once I hit "submit request" -- even when I hit the back button.

As English is not my native language could somebody please open me the following sentences from RS interview: But he clearly isn’t overjoyed about the marathon of album-plugging, which starts the next day. Lambert used to sell makeup at Macy’s - “I learned a lot about being the professional ‘gay best friend;” - and this aspect of the business reminds him of those days. “When I go to radio stations and meet fans, it’s retail in the most fucked-up way,” he says. “What I’m so grateful for this year is I didn’t have to anything except work on the album.” ??? When Adam was in his early 20's he worked at the Clinic make-up counter in Macy's (a US moderate-upper moderate department store chain). He was a cosmetics consultant -- someone who puts make-up on women to show them how great it will make them look so they purchase it. In the job, the consultants "pretend" to be your friend as part of the sales pitch. In Adam's case, a "gay best friend" who you would trust to give you advice about how to look great. Adam was very good at his job and was offered a promotion to be a trainer for Clinic -- but he declined and decided to pursue his theater/music career. Going to radio stations and "selling" your music is pretty similar. Actually, so is selling almost anything.

I do not understand that description completely either. I get the "hotness part" but the rest -- not so much. Refers to Movie - Blade with extremely sexy looking vampires... Scroll alert. Sometimes these writers/critics are so full of themselves trying to show how cool they are with all the obscure and multiple references to other songs, movies, and cultural tidbits, they forget the goal of communicating meaning. All music has influences. Adding Prince, MJ, Duran Duran, George Michael together does not accurately describe Adam's or any truly creative artist's product. When critics/writers try too hard to proclaim their knowledge by cutting a song into pieces, they are looking to connect with readers in an "aha!" moment -- reader gets what writer is saying. Sometimes writer is communicating meaning, other times they are trying to show how clever they are. For me, the Popdust reviews exemplify puff without substance in many places. And I confess Zeus in a thong, doesn't provide a visual or an idea that I associate with Adam or his music. So instead of "aha!" I get WTF?

Just had a chance to read the RS article at home, more carefully.
Adam does say
“A lot of times it’s in my own head, but it feels like a political move to be friends with someone like me,”
Great! he's aware he could be projecting. That will help him a lot!
I love the poetic, metaphoric way the writer ends the article.
He climbs into his BMW and heads for the hills, where he will zigzag higher and higher up narrow streets, reach his hour, and try his best not to scrape the car going up his driveway.
You know a few scrapes wont matter in the long run right?
is "hour" a typo for house? or did he mean his hour in the sun?
and then for car aficionados
This BMW coupe - I can see it as reflecting elements of Adam's style. Here's a blurb:
The hearts of sports car aficionados will beat a little faster with the arrival of the new BMW 650i Coupe. The third generation of the top-class Coupe sees BMW adding another chapter to its decades-long tradition in the production of exclusive dream cars. The new BMW 650i Coupe impresses with its stunning design and inspires with even sharper driving dynamics[/b] than its predecessor, noticeably optimized comfort levels and extra space.
The innovations in the new BMW 6 Series Coupe also extend to lighting technology, in the shape of Adaptive LED Headlights. Their bright white light provides an extremely intense and evenly spread illumination of the road. This technology is unparalleled in the segment and also allows the beam of the headlights to curves of the road.
Its unmistakable design language gives the new BMW 6 Series Coupe an aura of athletic elegance. ..Meanwhile, the extra width of the new car - it is now 1.5 inches (39 mm) wider thanks to its increased track width - makes for an exceptionally powerful stance that emphasizes its impressive roadholding.
All of which ensures that observers are struck by the car's dynamic forward-surging presence and promise of dynamic driving ability the moment they set eyes on it. The faithful reflection of the car's character in its exterior styling is given particular appeal by the lines running along the full length of the body and its harmoniously sculpted surfaces. The inspiration for these design features was the natural movement of waves.
Finally, the optional Bang & Olufsen High-End Surround Sound System provides a feast of aural pleasure seldom experienced inside a car. ;D

Its very frustrating because the info does not stay loaded once I hit "submit request" -- even when I hit the back button. If I ever get a "0" or an "O" in my code, I request another one and will keep clicking until I can easily read the code. I had too many errors.
