When Adam was in his early 20's he worked at the Clinic make-up counter in Macy's (a US moderate-upper moderate department store chain). He was a cosmetics consultant -- someone who puts make-up on women to show them how great it will make them look so they purchase it. In the job, the consultants "pretend" to be your friend as part of the sales pitch. In Adam's case, a "gay best friend" who you would trust to give you advice about how to look great. Adam was very good at his job and was offered a promotion to be a trainer for Clinic -- but he declined and decided to pursue his theater/music career. Going to radio stations and "selling" your music is pretty similar. Actually, so is selling almost anything. Okey, thanks! I didn't know about this sales job. So does he mean that going to these radio promos, is like being a salesman and that he doesn't like it? I think he had some resistant feelings about them before he did them but once he started meeting the fans and connecting, and the response from radio, I think he really got into them and relaxed and...well really got into them. he started vibing more and more confidence and happiness and relaxation. ETA: but you know those meet and greets are a few moments of interactions with fans, often at a usually superficial level, pic after pic, and the same questions again and again. While for the individual fan it must be exciting - he would be only human if he didn't like some parts of it and wished he could be doing something more relaxed and less "market-y". |

I get that but I still do not understand it. Why Blade?? Sorry not the vibe I get from Sauli. The entire line is like a bunch of stuff smushed together. I agree. Sauli's way more soft and vulnerable than a Blade vampire. Maybe he's basing it off some pics earlier this year of Sauli with eyeliner and leather jacket and all black with those blue blue eyes? idk. Sure takes Sauli's comment about a wedding dress image out of the picture  |

Refers to Movie - Blade with extremely sexy looking vampires... I get that but I still do not understand it. Why Blade?? Sorry not the vibe I get from Sauli. The entire line is like a bunch of stuff smushed together. Stephen Dorff played one of the villain vampires and he has very sculpted features like Sauli. |

This is a very important update from one of the data gurus on twitter (chartnonny):
PA folk, please request from WAEB Allentown (B104) as they gave a spin outside countdown this week. MD folk, please request from Mix 106.5 Baltimore as they have begun spinning overnight.
PLEASE, PLEASE, AMONG ALL THE ALBUM FLAIL, REMEMBER TO REQUEST DAILY FROM ALL YOUR LOCAL STATIONS, BY TEXT, TWEET, MEDIABASE FORM OR CALLING IN. RADIO REALLY NEEDS TO SEE THAT THERE IS INTEREST OUT THERE FOR THIS SONG IN THE FEW WEEKS LEFT BEFORE THE ADDS DATE. OBVIOUSLY MODERATION IS IMPORTANT, AS IS BEING POLITE, BUT REQUESTING IS VITAL AT THIS STAGE. THE ALBUM DESERVES TO DO SO WELL AND HAVING A SINGLE ON RADIO WILL BE A MASSIVE HELP.
I know I keep nagging about this but it really is for a reason. If those of you with decent sized followings on twitter could tweet out to this effect then that would be great. I also know that y'all are sometimes reluctant to request after what happened during era one but that was because some folks went overboard and became rude towards stations and dj's. Requesting in moderation and along proper channels is fine.
Also just as a tip: when requesting via MB form, particularly on pop, it would be worth also requesting a song from someone such as The Wanted, One Direction, Katy Perry, Rihanna or anyone else near the top of the charts rn. Radio stations want to know that you are interested in the artists they play rather than just Adam.
One final thing: while it's great that Mix 949 are playing Adam a lot, they are able to do so because they are a tiny unmonitored station who can pretty much do as they please. While I would never say don't be thankful to them - anyone getting to hear the song is great - please try and direct some enthusiasm towards the stations that actually matter for the charts as well.

MESSAGE TO NILE:  THIS! I am in love with Shady and the Sessions are amazing! I seriously hope Nile Rodgers joins him on this jam somewhere in NYC and that it is televised and this song becomes the megahit it deserves to be! SHADY is awesome! I could watch those jam sessions all day!!!! ;D |
