He's extremely unique and therefore can't be looked at as a gauge to how successful other gay artists might be. Adam's talent is just too great to be denied by the industry because it simply makes them look stupid. This is just sooooo good! It really needs to be repeated. Here are my favorite parts: I love all of the imagery in this short little review, and I love me some burlesque bravado, and leather boy ballads.

So here's the great pop album everyone has been hoping Adam Lambert would make since he ran wild on American Idol three years ago.
It wasn't just Glambert's dynamite-with-a-laser-beam voice that got him into our national knickers: It was his warmth, his humor, his burlesque bravado. .....
Trespassing delivers, with a mix of tinsel disco-club sleaze and leather boy ballads. .....
But all over Trespassing, Glambert sings everthing like Zeus in a thong.

I'm going to buy more Trespassing albums to gift just as my FU to the bigoted North Carolina voters who voted for amendment One.
I think we need to get Adam to the very top of ITunes to stick it to radio.. so double whammy

My friend RadarEcho is supporting Youth Texas First and they had the wonderful idea of the amazon wish list. (yay for great ideas) RadarEcho came to the Phoenix one n ten Brunch this year (used to be spelled 1n10). So many wonderful Adam fans have contributed to the now famous Adam Fan basket (including some from Adamtopia) for the silent auction that occurs at the yearly Brunch. I estimate that Adam Fans have contributed well over $10K to 1n10 through participation in the Brunch, gifting CDs, silent auction donations, donations to the Adam Fan Basket, donations to Outdoors! Camp, and regular $$ donations. As a result of 1n10's increasing visibility (recently 1n10 was featured on CNN) the youth now have a 2600+ sq ft drop in center (just moved from a 900 sq ft old home with barely any air conditioning in over 100 degree heat.) Many of the youth are homeless - they ride the light rail or bus at night until service stops, so the center is a place for a meal and now a shower during the day. I repeat some of this since we have so many new members at Adamtopia. All I can say - "all things Adam" are woven through so much of the spirit of what we (volunteers) are doing to support the one n ten LGBTQ youth for over three years now. Here is a way of introducing Adam's community to Adam. :-) We used the FYE CDs on the tables at the 2011 Brunch. There were tons of people from the Gay community at the brunch who know (or knew) nothing about Adam. So, little by little, wonderful things are happening for the youth and many many seeds are being planted for Adam. I have received Madonna CDS from my friends/colleagues at 1n10 in exchange for the Adam CDs I give to them :-) We are making this fun! (of course, there are serious discussions too) My love and devotion to Adam has been multiplied many many times over by my devotion to the youth. All is connected. RadarEcho said 1n10 better use the Amazon wish list if we want to get any Trespassing CDs for the 1n10 kids and I agree with her (smile). |
