In the olden days a writer/reporter wouldn't be without a Thesaurus. Today it would be wise to check the Urban Dictionary before casually using a term without being absolutely sure of the "street" meaning. ;D :

It's nice to see Lambert embracing a shift in direction on this new track, "Never Close Our Eyes". It has that pop swag but also a little UK pop mixed into the American mainstream radio beats. His voice carries well over the growling synths, and that's really why we listen to Adam Lambert. ......

........"Whataya Want From Me" may not be his biggest claim to fame if "Never Close Our Eyes" hits radio hard enough, and given that it was produced by Dr. Luke, I don't see how it won't.

I don't remember if this was posted yesterday or not.

This is the song of the day, lets give hits to YT, request at radio stations, and play the hell out of it!

It is a great song, and deserves to be at the top of the charts. Adam is so much better than most of the stuff out there.

This took me some time, so maybe you have already said it all and moved on, but I find interpretations interesting.

Lambert met Koskinen - a Finnish Big Brother winner with the carved>chiseled cheekbones, chilly addict>affect and overall undead hotness of a Blade villain.

I am not sure about the chiseled but affe... was something that I really tried to both squint from the picture of the article and consulted my dictionary to make some sense of it. That kind of expressions are hard to translate. But we have to remember that it is very possible that the writer has not met Sauli in person, or at least not interacted with him. He has just seen the pictures (and/or some pap videos where he just strikes a pose with a smile or just walks by with a serious/unaffected expression).

cheekbones
I guess the carved or chiseled bone structure as a prominent feature is considered beautiful and attractive. An interesting bone strutcture fascinates artists to create a painting or a sculpture. The material in a sculpture (stone, wood etc.) might not allow soft curves which in turn emphasizes the structure even if the model had more flesh on his bones in reality. The writer says that Sauli's features, expecially his cheekbones look like sculpted. That 'like sculpted' might be interpreted as 'a work of art' (or at least intriguing) which is high praise. In Finnish I suggest "veistokselliset".

chilly affect
I don't know who, has mixed effect with affect or vice versa, the writer or the translator or me. The expression as it is means something like 'playing it cool' (cool or a bit distant or even confident) to me, but I might be wrong. The translation tells about 'giving you chills' which might be true, but I would expect 'chilly effect' in that case. My translation could be "viileänoloinen" which doesn't quite grab what I am after.

overall undead hotness
From IL text the word "undead" is still missing, could it mean vibrant, alive, strong? Or adding the new info that the bad guys in the movie are vampires, should we think of someone who will not die but stays alive for centuries, eternal perhaps? As a translation "kaikinpuolinen ikuinen/kuolematon seksikkyys" sounds very awkward. If one assumes the movies are well known it is a good choice to translate only the 'hotness' and leave the 'overall eternal' out. Not assuming that it could be translated with only the adjective part saying "kokonaisuudessaan/kaikenkaikkiaan todella seksikäs" (~all in all really sexy).

One possibility (with a slight inference that cheekbones might contribute to the sexyness): "Viileänoloinen ja veistoksellisine poskipäineen todella seksikäs suomalainen Big Brother -voittaja." That would make it a lot shorter and much more plain: 'Finnish Big Brother winner with cool attitude, chiseled cheekbones and total hotness'.
