I had two people at work today tell me that I looked preoccupied and/or distracted, LOL. Maybe because all I wanted was to stop talking to them and listen to Trespassing and read reviews, LOL.
FOUR stars in RS! I am so happy for Adam! I remember at the beginning of this whole wait we were hoping he would be able to do an album that received good critical reviews, and here we are.
This album is so good! My husband listened to it from the AO stream tonight with me and really liked every song! He likes Adam, but was surprised that the album was so good and so solid. He was honestly really impressed and said he could see why RS gave it 4 stars.
I keep imagining Adam reading these good reviews and that just makes me so happy! People need to hear this album, so we need to follow Adam's instructions and request NCOE like mad.

I hope Take Back isn't getting overlooked cause I am really starting to love it. He is really letting us in on this one. Listen to the words.
It's really Adam: "all I ever do is over think"
And his dating history : "you never give back" and "as long as you get it out of me"
Glimpses of first falling in love: "remember the first time we collided"and "used to be we owned the night"
The process of holding on: "we know how to talk it into the ground", "how do we take back"
The heartbreak: "we lost it" , "I would give anything just to chase the dark away"
Then listen to how he sings the last tender lines: "oh my(?)" and "how do we take back"
It's pure Adam. He poured it all out on this one and I am glad to hear him be not only sad but a bit angsty about it. And of course the multi-layered vocals are gorgeous!

Okay so I missed the flail over great reviews overnight. Just read Lyndsey's review and yay Lyndsey! Sure she’s a glambert but like us, I think she’s been able to convey that this album is THAT GOOD. And you don’t have to be a glambert to love it. Yay!
And RS. Wow. The article has left me feeling all kinds of emotions.
I recall back to that thought that he was emanating tension during the grammies pre-event and now to hear why, oh boy! I really can’t bear the thought that Adam thinks that some people see it as a political move to associate with him. And Adam on the other hand is there supporting every good performance of every good singer.
He is the outsider. And much as I love the underdog and the outsider (always yeah!) there is such an irony about this.
I once mentioned I knew a musician here in Delhi who's worked with people like Sia and Gotye and he dismissed Adam the minute I mentioned his name as an AI type.
So closed. And there is no fucking way this musician has produced ANYTHING as good as Adam has. That’s the ultimate irony.
Anyway the world's greatest music magazine is having none of that hack-level BS. And there are others in the industry that recognise his greatness and give him access to great producers and writers. So it’s a mixed story.
And four stars!!!!! So awesome.
