Guys
I’ve been thinking about some of the things Adam said in his RS interview.
Just to get quickly out of the way: he slept with a woman in his later 20s that is after idol??
Kesha??
Lucky woman! >:(
OK back to to the matter at hand, that Adam feels judged by some or many other musicians in his industry as "not cool enough".
I don’t have any definitive responses on this. I was never part of the cool crowd at school, but I have noticed (through the power of facebook!)
they not so cool anymore, mama.
Anyhoo, that aside, I just had a few quick thoughts with no answers.
Who are these so-called cool people? Surely not the Britneys (she’s a hot mess).
Maybe the Timberlakes, the Mayers and the Beyonces. If you look at their lives closely – it aint that cool. But sure, they have industry power.
In my experience, one of the key things that occurs with the cool vs the others is the cool are less conspiratorial than others think:
1. Those who feel left out can project their own insecurities onto the cool people and imagine the cool people are looking down on them. In fact, the cool are often not thinking about the non-cool at all, let alone thoughts like “I wouldn’t want to associate with him”. They are busy focusing on themselves or on doing their own networking for their own ends.
2. Adam would be very different from many current power people in the industry if he was a power person. Adam is a maternal/paternal take charge of the whole room kinda guy. He makes no one feel left out. But most people are too passive or too self-focused to do that and they shouldn’t be judged by his standards. Thus, when he doesn’t feel included it may not be because people are actively leaving him out, they are just being thoughtless and self-focused.
Adam is a very perceptive, vibey kind of man and I think if he’s picking up something there’s probably truth to it. But no matter how aware we are as people, we can all get a little lost in our projections, or amplify passing thoughts that others are having but are not attached to, and are not acting upon.
So some of what he might be picking up may just be the isolation one can feel in the presence of self-centred self-absorbed people, not people making an active judgements.

Nice foreplay Oh my! *clutches fake pearls* now youve got me going with the blow-by-blow! OK so Adam was behind him, saw his cute lil ass, sauntered up, tapped him on the left shoulder. Sauli turned around and Adam just slipped a lollipop in his mouth easy as... and then Sauli's mouth embraced it and he took a long suck and his eyes twinkled with humour as he stared at the flirtatious interloper....

When you wake up to FOUR effin' stars from RS, to Zeus in a Thong, Lollipop Pick U Up, Sex with a Woman, Sex God Stare/Pouty Lips on the Couch...you can't help but think it can't possibly get any better... I got equally excited over the confessions about his gluttonous nature as for the fact he has to be a Formula One kind of a driver in order to get to his house. He's very dexterous ;D As for the 'feeling as an outsider in the music world, I'm going to quote Adamrocks, because I agree with every word she said: The world is his oyster. Good morning to you, too, Adam
