During the brief interview, Adam was asked about his relationship with hottie boyfriend, Sauli Koskinen and he gladly replied. “We’re super happy. I met him when I was out there [in Finland] doing a concert and…he’s great. We’re very happy,” Adam said. “I’ve always been the single guy so I’m just like ‘Yes! I got a boyfriend!’” All this happiness has inspired Adam to write a few songs about the relationship. He says some of the songs are “real sexy, crazy” while others are “romantic.” Adam also talked about working with Pharrell Williams on his new album, his juice cleanse and his upcoming concerts with Queen. ”Trespassing” arrives in stores next week. There is a big discussion going on right now about the number of albums in the contract that David Cook had. Everybody is saying 2. Some saying 5. But the consensus is that it is more likely 2. Since #2 is nt doing well, then the departure. If that is the case, then Adam's contract was for 2. Adam is on album #4. (FYE, Acoustic and GNT). Is it possible that he renegotiated a new contract and got all his creative control with this album? The 19 Recordings Contracts guarentee 1 studio album but have 4 options for future studio albums.That is 5 albums. Same contract for Cook and Adam except because Cook won he got a bigger advance. An option means that the label has the right to the album with preset compensation levels. The option price is based on performance of the prior album -- so David Cook and Adam got big advances for album #2. Acoustic and GNT were not studio contacts. Adam is on studio album #2. Creative control or exec producer credit/royalties can be given without renegotiating the contract. |

Me neither - are we the last 2 people in North America not to own it ?   One of 3 However, I may cave. Not for me, but my daughter has been proudly telling everyone that her two favorite singers are Adam and Adele. Since she's figured out how to work the CD player (sorta, she's not gentle with CDs), she's getting her own version of Trespassing (and I'm embarassed to say that I hope that there really is a "clean-er" version being sold at Wal-Mart b/c I'm already getting the "bad Mom" look from other parents when she sings the lyrics). I may also get her Adele's 21 because she already knows a lot of the songs from the radio. At least the kid has good taste in singers. And it sure beats listening to "Yo Gabba Gabba" songs ;D There are 330 million people in the US. A lot of us have not bought Adele's album. Including me. |
