A very deeply analyzed, well-written reply to EW by purplegirll, who is sending it to EW hard copy. www.twitlonger.com/show/hcf3omBTW, someone just tweeted me to tell me that Adam is in the hardcover edition of TIME! This issue is getting MAJOR press because of the very controversial cover. Whoo hooo!! This is a really great analysis of just why the review is so offensive. I would hope that whoever reads this would get it, if they hadn't before. Did the person tweet it to ew too? I think this is the kind of thing retweeted en masse (like Jordan's open letter) might make them sit up and notice a little. ETA: oh and susie, your comment earlier about how it's the equivalent of saying Adele just needs a little Midol was SPOT ON! I hope you included that in any complaints you sent to EW. This was a great response to EW and I also agree with Susie's analogy! The other day when the EW review came out, I went back and looked at the other album reviews by this same person in the past year. If they had all been snarky and irreverent, Adam's review would have made (a little) more sense. It's kind of why I enjoy watching Chelsea Handler on occasion. She is an equal opportunity "snarker". She pokes fun at everyone and everything. Think of the movie Something About Mary or the TV show The Soup. They are funny, because they are not singling out one group to poke fun at. I wondered if perhaps the reviewer at EW was like that. Did she make weight comments about Adele or Kelly? Did she make references to outhouses and bare feet for Country artists? Did she make comments about Rihanna's race? NOPE...she singled Adam out! The references she made were out of place for the types of reviews that she normally does. That alone to me says she has a problem with Adam, gay people, or both! >:(

I think like a one-off single would be cool, or maybe Queen could back him on one of the songs on album #3.

Discussion between Eber and a friend lizz huerta @lizzhuerta @milestougeaux "Zeus in a thong." I think Rolling Stone just gave him his Halloween Costume. Retweeted by Miles TougeauxMiles Tougeaux @milestougeaux @lizzhuerta Actually I think he used that one before. He's lived in Hollywood for 10 years... I love Eber!

But the fact is that you can't ignore that this guy actually have something special. We can call it talent. The songs, which could have passed by as tiresome bubblegum pop, instead have both soul and personality thanks to Lambert's rocky but still tender voice. In addition he has the ability to build up emotion in his melodies, without getting stuck in long boring sections. I don't want to go as far as to call him a male Kelly Clarkson, but he's without a doubt awesome at managing his talent - even when the "Idol"-sign stops shining. In that Billboard article it says:
"The singer's last North American tour of primarily clubs and theaters in 2010 grossed $2.7 million from 30 concerts that attracted nearly 65,000 people, according to Billboard Boxscore."
Primarily clubs???
30 concerts???
nearly 65,000 people?
Didn't the GNT include 100 concerts? And there were probably 50,000 people that saw Adam perform just in Montreal and Toronto. And weren't there like thousands and THOUSANDS of peeps at the big Costa Mesa concerts?
Just curious about the Billboard statistics about GNT.
