Hoopla Magnet @hooplamagnet RT Translation of Trespassing review from Sweden's biggest newspaper Aftonbladet via @_ninni www.twitlonger.com/show/hch8r3Trespassing review from Sweden's biggest newspaper Aftonbladet (translation): He has both soul and personality +++ (3 out of 5) It would've been so easy to dismiss Adam Lambert as yet another prior "American Idol" participant who's desperately trying to stay relevant with the help of earwormy hits and ambitious styling. But the fact is that you can't ignore that this guy actually have something special. We can call it talent. The songs, which could have passed by as tiresome bubblegum pop, instead have both soul and personality thanks to Lambert's rocky but still tender voice. In addition he has the ability to build up emotion in his melodies, without getting stuck in long boring sections. I don't want to go as far as to call him a male Kelly Clarkson, but he's without a doubt awesome at managing his talent - even when the "Idol"-sign stops shining. popcrush.com/kris-allen-covers-rihanna-katy-perry-lady-gaga/While Adam Lambert prepares to release his second album to great fanfare, Kris Allen (who was runner-up to Lambert on Season 8 of ‘American Idol‘) continues to work hard to stay in the spotlight. Allen stopped by MYFM 104.3 in Los Angeles to play an awesome acoustic medley of songs by Rihanna, Katy Perry and Lady Gaga.

OK, I know EW won't give a flying fuck but this might make me feel better. Just got THAT issue in mail so think I'll: Pull out the Adam page and write a nasty mature note on the Adam page (maybe something about gay teen suicide and gay stereotypes). :D Tear the issue into pieces. ;D And, for fun, tear the several I still haven't recycled into pieces. Put all in a box along with my cancellation confirmation and mail it to them. It will be rather cathartic if nothing else, especially ripping the issues to shreds. Whataya think? I think this is a PLAN!!! ;D

On another, much better note....WHAT IS THIS WEEK?? OMG!! All the goodness is coming all at once!! YAYAYAYAYAY!! I honestly can't keep up and that is part of the reason I haven't been posting much. The other reason is that I finally found a job. And, it's going to really get in the way of my stanning...grrrrrrrrrrrr!! LOL!! [size=3 GLITTERGMA -- CONGRATULATIONS!!![/size] So happy to hear about your new job! ETA: Sure it may cut into stanning time, but look at it the way I do -we used to have to keep the boy in dimmers - now it's the entire Rick Owens boot collection. (well worth the effort tho)

I probably shouldn't post this but gotta share. Today I was at the local feed store. The guy behind the register made a comment about a "colored" man. How close to consent do you think he is on the topic of same sex marriages? EGAD, where the fuck am I?? I'm in Northern VA just outside Washington, DC - a progressive area despite the rest of my state. My next door neighbors, who are in their 70's, say sometimes say "colored" as well.

I think the term "colored" is not meant as derogatory by older people - people in their 70's and older. They are from the time before the terms "African-American" and "black" came into being.
