This is why Adam is so important as a person, as a role model and as an artist. This woman spoke at a recent Lincoln, Nebraska City Council meeting meeting--she is nuts! I don't think EW particularly cares if they offended anyone with that review. They are probably laughing about it. If this was any other publication, I might be more mad, but EW is really light-weight and kind of trashy. They seem to be all about offensive snark and making fun of celebs and I don't think people take this mag very seriously. And I never see the mag anymore. I mean, I would have to go actively looking for it, it doesn't just jump out at you in the grocery store check-out like People or US, even. Unfortunately, EW has a large circulation and it's review counts toward Adam's metacritic score. I don't think it's as insignificant as we would hope and that's just part of what makes this whole situation infuriating. Way late on this -- one B- will not hurt Adam on Metacritic score -- B- from EW = a 67 Green Score (positive). Pop albums do not usually get over 80 on Metacritic. So far Trespassing has not review that is negative or even neutral in their system. FYE got a 71 -- Trespassing looks like it is headed higher. |
