For the mtv thing I saw a comment somewhere that even though you get the vote counted message just keep on then after about 50 votes you get a cooling of period message and you have to wait an hour or two. The only thing I've heard is that Chrome users have been able to vote more than once and then it's arbitrary when it will stop. I have been able to vote ONCE on my computer. I voted in Safari. The second time I tried, I got, "Thank you, we have already counted your vote." I tried in Firefox; got the same. I tried today (about 20 hours after my original vote and next day). I got the same. Oh wait, I voted once on my phone. I refreshed and got, "Thank you, we've already counted your vote." So two votes total. So for me: No cooling off period. No multiple votes. No one-vote-per-day. I got one vote per device and that's it.

I need help. I am watching Chopped All Stars. One of the contestants is named Adam. Whenever they say his name I get a little thrill. Join the club.... my DH and I were at Costco last week and we both spotted this book at the same time. He looked at me and said, "No you're not". Hee. I burst out laughing cuz he knows me too well. Well I just finished reading the book. And I'm just at the beginning of the thread so I hope I'm not repeating info but it is about the bungled Adam Walsh murder investigation :(

As for MTV. I have tried all three browsers explorer, firefox & chrome, tried clearing cookies, and I still only get one vote. So frustrating. I have two other computers, so I will try those next, at least I should be able to vote from them.
For the lurkers out there, Adam is currently at 25.03%, up from 24.97 about 30 minutes ago.

Regarding spoilers/no-spoilers. I prefer anticipation to surprise any day of the week. I love the build of anticipation and surprise hits you out of left field and it's often hard to process, then the moment is over.
Years ago I was thrown a surprise party for my birthday, which was awesome and fun, but truth be told, I was totally disappointed that the "fake" plans we made for that night were just the ruse. I was REALLY looking forward to them.
I do not even get people who don't find out the sex of their babies beforehand. All three of my nephews were named the day of their ultrasounds. The experience of "knowing" them before their were born was lovely. (Yes, I know there are still surprises, one of my best friends was assured her second son was a girl and it involved some decor exchanges.)
Surprise to me is closer to blind-siding. Some are fun, but in general, I could take it or leave it. Anticipation is half the fun!!

And it was held at OUR house Needless to say, my idea of party clean and his were two entirely different things. At the time, I was taking care of my dad who was very ill. He had moved in here and it was pretty chaotic. I looked a mess. Afterwards, I asked one of my best friends why she didn't warn me and she said, I did, I suggested you clean your house. ;D It really was sweet of him, trying to do something nice for me when life wasn't being so nice. He was 14 at the time.
