JanuarySnow, how's the tooth?  Thank you for caring!  Yesterday I was sure I'd never ever close my jaws again, today is much better, I can even eat something other than kid's puree  BTW speaking of teeth, every time I read about Adam being the winner of AI I clearly hear gnashing of teeth somewhere from the Allen's household and think that they might've enormous bills from their dentist. I'm not being rude, I just remember KA father's face during these events and how proud he was and how he must hate that everybody now conveniently forget facts ??? |

"Heartthrob Adam Lambert" sounds so much better than "Noted Homosexual Adam Lambert." I am beginning to hate some of his introductions. I would rather see "The Talented Adam Lambert," "The Singer Adam Lambert," "The Gorgeous AL". From some articles I have read, the LGBT community is proud of the label "gay Adam Lambert," and I understand where they are coming from. However, that label separates him from everyone else. It is the "separate, but equal" way of thinking, and it doesn't work. He is one of us, the human community, and as such is equal to all of us.
Just a thought I have been having since I read an article yesterday. Doesn't need a response.

BTW I love it that journalists ask us for questions. They know we find something original to ask (and having to do interviews myself from time to time I know how much time it usually takes to research your subject and find something interesting to talk about).

Sooo...when are we going to start tracking down guesses on what Adam's debut numbers will be? HDD will make their one day predictions on Tues/Wednesday of next week right? I think we should play a game and make guesses, and whoever is the closes win something? Anyone? I'm going to base my guess off of how BTIKM did its first week. It debuted at 39000. Of that 39000, maybe 5000-10000 ordered 3 copies a piece. Another 10000 probably ordered about 2 apiece, and the rest casual and ordered 1. If he does really well on Idol, and his upcoming performances next week, I think that's another 10000-20000 at least. So my figure is 69000-89000. But hoping for somewhere between 90000-100000+ I'll play but my guess would be about the same as yours. Maybe a bit less (just going by the Amazon & iTunes position). Around 60,000 to 80,000. But - I WANNA BE WRONG! IIRC the average drop for an Idol's sophomore album is @ 70%. So anything over 60,000 is better than average. For Idols that is. And he really shouldn't be compared to Idols anymore. |
