These blog reviews are great, but I try to keep the context in the back of my mind. Some are written by people already in the fandom on open content sites where anyone can post. A notch above that in credibility are those written by hobbyist music bloggers with their own small individual sites, a notch above that are music/pop blogs with multiple writers and advertising, etc. etc.
Not that all press isn't wonderful and welcome, but for me it's important to keep in mind what readership and mainstream clout the source has when weighting reviews to get a sense of how the album is being received outside of fandom.

I have added a few new things to the forum. 1. And easy way to upload images to the forum -- just click on "Add image to post". ON THE POSTING TOOL BAR -- second row, right side -- there are 4 new items: 2. Soundcloud file embedding -- click on the orange Soundcloud icon button. 3. Spoiler command code -- the yellow button with the ? --  This will place a new button in your post area which will then wrap any highlighted section with tags, you also now have the option to name the spoiler whatever you like... just testing it It works with photos. It cannot be used for advertisements. 4. The small blue icon -- will give you the command code to embed a Photobucket slide show. 5. The video dropdown will allow you to embed web hosted videos beyond YouTube/VEVO. It will not function in all browsers but will work in FireFox and in IE. |

"Heartthrob Adam Lambert" sounds so much better than "Noted Homosexual Adam Lambert." I am beginning to hate some of his introductions. I would rather see "The Talented Adam Lambert," "The Singer Adam Lambert," "The Gorgeous AL". From some articles I have read, the LGBT community is proud of the label "gay Adam Lambert," and I understand where they are coming from. However, that label separates him from everyone else. It is the "separate, but equal" way of thinking, and it doesn't work. He is one of us, the human community, and as such is equal to all of us. Just a thought I have been having since I read an article yesterday. Doesn't need a response. He IS of the gorgeous persuasion but if glozell is to be believed that separates him from the regular people ;D I love you Anjalee!!!!!  |
