I'm getting the place ready for the 15th!!! could it be possible to have sound on the site, like some sites have a tune playing when you enter them. Like say Trespassing playing on the background? |

These blog reviews are great, but I try to keep the context in the back of my mind. Some are written by people already in the fandom on open content sites where anyone can post. A notch above that in credibility are those written by hobbyist music bloggers with their own small individual sites, a notch above that are music/pop blogs with multiple writers and advertising, etc. etc. Not that all press isn't wonderful and welcome, but for me it's important to keep in mind what readership and mainstream clout the source has when weighting reviews to get a sense of how the album is being received outside of fandom. I completely agree. That's why a few days ago I asked what reviews were the most important, whose opinion actually mattered, and the answer was: Billboard and Rolling Stone. RS loved it, right?  (4/ 5 stars) and if I'm not mistaken, we're still waiting for the Billboard review? Q3 even said that the great RS review would mean bigger selling numbers for Trespassing (I think :  ... On the other hand, this morning's reviews by Popledge and Elena Gorgan's on Softpedia felt really good, not because I agreed with the most parts, but because they were thorough, detailed and professional. ( imo). How relevant are they? I don't know. They are to me:))) Maybe they are not influential, maybe they won't cause a single stir in the music world, I just want to say that they matter. If they put a smile to a Glambert's face or make a non-fan want to listen to Adam's music... 'salright But, I do agree that we should 'keep in mind what readership and mainstream clout the source has when weighting reviews to get a sense of how the album is being received outside of fandom.' Or we can leave it up to Merlin, or you:) to keep the impartial perspective and keep us in check while we unleash the wild 'Glambert' inside ;D |

You'd have to figure out how to close it down or even get out of Adamtopia to play anything else. I like to control what I hear out of my computer otherwise it's hard to bert in semi-secret. |
