My daughter made me a Mother's Day card as if it came from Adam. It's got a singer with Adam's face on the outside and inside plus his signature. She said someone dropped it off! Then she said that it's been a few years since she made me a MD card, but she felt it appropriate since we discuss him as if he's a family member and I have more pics of him out than I do of her and her "real" brother.
Happy Mother's Day

Ohh.. Q3, on the Billboard article there's this comment: RCA VP of marketing Nick Pirovano says that Lambert is still very much in the artist development stage. "We're breaking an artist," he says. "We want him to be more than just an 'American Idol,' and that takes time." So do you think that RCA will stick with Adam for a while??? I really hope they will
It is a very interesting statement for a label ex to make about an artist. When I read it, my first thought was that RCA is still trying to figure out how Adam fits into the mainstream music world. I think the time is now right for Adam to be Adam, and still be successful.
I do not worry at all about Adam because Trespassing is going to sell really well. And he has a label that clearly supports him -- all the way to the top. And he has the talent to make something out of that support -- and make money for RCA.

My sister, who is not necessarily an Adam Lambert fan, just heard the beginning of Trespassing (CD). She heard the first four tracks and said she liked it. "It was much happier sounding than I thought it would be."
I am wondering if this is due to the singles that have been put out WWFM, BTIKM and NCOE. I thought this was a funny comment from her, but now I wonder how many people think most of his music is not happy music. I know IIHY and FYE were singles too, but I doubt they were heard by many people.

I might have to take a lead from Cassie and look for a new avi... hmmm what to pick.
Won't dive into fonts and color. When I trained and practiced as a designer many moons ago, I was lucky enough to have fabulous typography lecturers who instilled in me the role of type in communicating hierarchy, emotion and intent to language. A little goes a long way... or as one of my lecturers used to say with his heavy german accent - "Lezz iz more peoples. Lezz iz more."

Interesting point plus his most famous performance from Idol was Mad World emo-style.
ETA: bridgeymah, I think I had the same prof!! But I have actually learned a bit from Adam that if layered -- more can be more. It is a novel concept for me since I was a designer when Helvetica ruled and minimalism was considered elegant.
