My sister, who is not necessarily an Adam Lambert fan, just heard the beginning of Trespassing (CD). She heard the first four tracks and said she liked it. "It was much happier sounding than I thought it would be." I am wondering if this is due to the singles that have been put out WWFM, BTIKM and NCOE. I thought this was a funny comment from her, but now I wonder how many people think most of his music is not happy music. I know IIHY and FYE were singles too, but I doubt they were heard by many people. Most people have never even heard BTIKM, due to the fact that it didn't make it to the Top 40 on CHR. IIHY was heard by a much larger audience than BTIKM ever was. It was a pretty poppy, happy song! NCOE has a small audience at this point, plus there is nothing sad about this single. It's uptempo and isn't really anything like WWFM. Maybe, like Q3 pointed out, most people who aren't fans associate Adam with Mad World and WWFM?

Can a single ever develop organically? I can hear us at his concerts chanting Runnin', Runnin', Runnin', Runnin'... Usually not. If you look at the sticker on the album, it looks as if RCA and Adam have preselected Trespassing or Cuckoo to be the next singles. Does anyone remember what songs were on the sticker on FYE? I know FYE and WWFM were, but what were the other songs that were listed?
I want to say it was Music Again, but not 100% sure.

Play him on the flipping radio, for the spins dudes, and to be heard. This is not good enough. Bah humbug!!!! He shows as "recently played" on their playlist so maybe live? No it was an online spin (you can tell at YES) although they do show up on the website playlists. It's fine though as Philly has played NCOE a couple of times now outside takeover and top 10 votes. It's too early IMO in the song's growth for a SNOL spin and that would have been what an 'on-air' Q102 spin would have been tonight. As an aside Smokey, I've never seen anyone besides Scrooge actually use the words 'Bah Humbug' ;D

The album, including the bonus songs and including BTIKM and NCOE placed where they should be in the track listing, is perfect for an hour-long workout. The upbeat songs set the pace and rev up the energy at the beginning. I don't even feel the pain.
And Nirvana is exactly the right song to end with-- floaty, uplifting, romantic and calming.

Interesting point plus his most famous performance from Idol was Mad World emo-style.
ETA: bridgeymah, I think I had the same prof!! But I have actually learned a bit from Adam that if layered -- more can be more. It is a novel concept for me since I was a designer when Helvetica ruled and minimalism was considered elegant.
Still love Helvetica. Busy design can work and is just as challenging in its own way as minimalism. I'm an equal opportunity design lover - if it's good design I love it :-) Yep, #teamminimalismunlessyouareaprofessional

I want to say it was Music Again, but not 100% sure. That's also what I was thinking, but wanted to see if anyone else remembered it because that choice seems kind of "out there" compared to some of the other tracks on the album.

I want to say it was Music Again, but not 100% sure. I just happened to have my very 1st FYE CD sitting here and I knew I stuck the sticker on the back. It says *The most anticipated album of the year! Includes For Your Entertainment, Whataya Want From Me, Music Again and Winners* Hahahaha! Just Winners, not Sure Fire Winners! I had forgotten all about that.
