am re-listening to this album and "Naked Love" is >>>> NCOE. No dis to NCOE which I like, but NL is just a great dance-pop track -- and would have been a perfect summer single.
NL has smash hit written all over it. I think NCOE can and will do ok, but you wonder about the single selection process!
I am not crazy about Naked Love - but it is a happy, easy-breezy song that would be fun to hear on the radio

This is an awesome review 4/5 stars , thanks Shev!! Is this review one of those that really matter?
This review matters -- read, respected and used by Metacritic in their calculation.
ETA: Metacritic just uses All Music as one of their Music Review Sources -- 4 of 5 stars = an 80 score.
Metacritic is owned by CBS Interactive, which is a subsidiary of CBS (same as the TV Network).
All Music is owned by Rovi Copr. YAY!!!! Feel a little better now after that EW review.

The extravagant singer, who gained succes after appearing on American Idol in 2009, goes all the way with Elektropop, sometimes even in overdrive to show his talent. On 'Shady', he gets assistance for that by Nile Rodgers and Sam Sparro. on the deluxe Edition, you get 3 bonus-tracks: Runnin' , Take Back and Nirvana.

I am thrilled at the reviews for Trespassing. But, can I express one little whine? Why all this talk of glam and glitter? I don't hear either in the new music, and haven't seen either in his recent performances. That was just one side of him, a side he has moved on from, but, the writers all seem stuck with that image. The allmusic review, ironically, talks about how Adam has moved beyond Idol and put it behind him, but in the same article they are guilty of not recognizing he has also move beyond glam and glitter. Sigh. Oh, well, rant over. Back to listening and dancing and crying. 1st impressions last a long time. He will always be glam and glittery to the media. But maybe as Adam stays more and more prominent in the media, which he hasn't for the last couple of years, the media's perception will change. It'll take a while though.

Well, crap! That pretty much ruins their whole day in NYC!! ... and I was happy thinking that "I am breathing the same air"... BTW - most beautiful sunny warm and upbeat day here in NYC! We are ready for the awesomeness! on another topic: I just (impulsively) bought a bag of washed and cut kale... I DO NOT COOK! I can't prepare anything that involves heat (except for microwave)... I hardly know how to turn my stove on... i have no idea what to do ...is it eatable in salad? HELP!!! Nica, Here's a recipe for kale salad that I really enjoy: Farmer Stu’s Kale Salad (Chef Jesse Cool) 1 large bunch organic kale, thinly sliced 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil 1 small red onion, thinly sliced 2 garlic cloves, minced 3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar 1 hot chile pepper (such as jalapeño, serrano, or habenaro), seeded and minced Salt Freshly ground black pepper Lightly steam the kale and allow to cool (my adaptation). Heat the oil in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook for 6 minutes, or until very soft. Add the vinegar and chile pepper. Cook for 1 minute. Pour the mixture over the kale and toss well. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. (I also like to add toasted pumpkin seeds and currants.) Serve immediately. Makes 4 servings

Hmmm, the NY Daily News is listed, so does that mean one more 80? Also, I noticed The Hollywood Reporter is there. If it gets reviewed by them, I hope the reviewer likes Adam as much as Shirley Halperin does. ETA: NY Daily News is listed for Movies, not Music. :(
