Meredith @merrycello Eeee so mix1073 is giving away Trespassing CDs this weekend, so I just called them up and asked them to play NCOE and they said "coming up!" It's been my experience that DJs say this or something similar after I request and it means nothing. But 107.3 is running ads onair for Trespassing in conjunction with the American Idol tour so hopefully it's only a matter of time until they play NCOE.

This is soooo OT, but for any of you who like to eat corn on the cob, this shows a really easy way to cook and shuck it! m.wimp.com/shuckcorn/
He swaid four minutes first. Then he put eight minutes on the microwave. Which is it? anyone know?It is 4 minutes per corn cob, I believe, and he put 2 in the microwave at one time, thus the 8 minutes. Hope it works; sounds really quick and easy!

... and I was happy thinking that "I am breathing the same air"... BTW - most beautiful sunny warm and upbeat day here in NYC! We are ready for the awesomeness! on another topic: I just (impulsively) bought a bag of washed and cut kale... I DO NOT COOK! I can't prepare anything that involves heat (except for microwave)... I hardly know how to turn my stove on... i have no idea what to do ...is it eatable in salad? HELP!!! Nica, Here's a recipe for kale salad that I really enjoy: Farmer Stu’s Kale Salad (Chef Jesse Cool) 1 large bunch organic kale, thinly sliced 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil 1 small red onion, thinly sliced 2 garlic cloves, minced 3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar 1 hot chile pepper (such as jalapeño, serrano, or habenaro), seeded and minced Salt Freshly ground black pepper Lightly steam the kale and allow to cool (my adaptation). Heat the oil in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook for 6 minutes, or until very soft. Add the vinegar and chile pepper. Cook for 1 minute. Pour the mixture over the kale and toss well. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. (I also like to add toasted pumpkin seeds and currants.) Serve immediately. Makes 4 servings Thank you, njoytheride! (Love your name, BTW Sounds tasty! I will try...see if "cook for 1 minute" is doable for me ;D

When MY DH and I flew Delta to Greece, we were 9 hours late ,We missed our next flight in Athens to Santorini and had to wait yet another 6 hours for the next island flight.. we were exhausted and livid. ON the international flight, the staff never offered us even water, we had to go to the back where they had a warm pitcher of water and some cups.. self service. Breakfast after flying all night, was a hard roll almost thrown at us. In the past, we have traveled a great deal.I have not seen the inside of a plane since our Delta flight. I really feel bad for Adam and Crew, hoping Adam flew with a different airline.
Yes, BUT you were delayed in Santorini!!!

I can hardly believe the day is upon us! Trespassing arrives the day after tomorrow. It seems as if we've been waiting for YEARS!
We actually have..... That explains it, then.

Hmm. Maybe it's because I'm not a Mom (except to furry creatures) but my feelings toward Adam are not exactly maternal...But he can sure "come to Momma!"
One of the killer pics of all time.....I can still stare at it and drool.

I grew up microwaving corn, never "boiled" it until the last year or so. 8 minutes for 2 might be a little too much. I will say that you should flip them half way through. The silks steam up... Having said that.. I now prefer to cook corn in water.
