Ok, so I'm one of those worriers too. I realize that Adam is doing several radio concerts in the next few weeks in hopes of getting adds and plays. Do you think the bigger radio stations he's playing concerts for will start to play his singles with lots of spins like he got for WWFM? I'm nervous because Adam did SO MANY radio visits already, even while BTIKM was slowing down so I thought those would be "pay it forward" spins for NCOE. Even though the track is doing somewhat better than the first single so early, I was hoping a lot of stations would jump on the band wagon early...
He's 41 in HAC, so maybe after reaching 40, the Top 40 stations will play him. Don't know. Need expert info here.Top 40 in HAC does not get a song played on the Top 40 CHR stations. If it were that easy, BTIKM would have gotten more play on CHR. It made it to #17 on HAC. Noting that reviewers are questioning the single choices does not mean I am not supporting NCOE. (It just seems like it is being mentioned in quite a few of the reviews.) Hell, I am waiting for the day that Adam is big enough that casual fans start requesting and I can take a break from doing all the mediabase forms, texting, tweeting, Green Thumbs up, and Whacking the Mole, and buying multiples. I feel like my requesting is a part time job! |

I've been trying to figure out the white things -- mouse skeletons? Yeah they do look like mice skeletons or something molded to look like them. |

Need expert info here.Unfortunately, I don't know of any Atop members who are PDs or who work for RCA, nor any with a crystal ball...  We can all speculate endlessly, but the thing is, none of us knows what will happen. However, it makes no sense for Adam to be doing all this promo and a bunch of radio concerts unless there is going to be some reciprocal support for NCOE. I understand that fans get antsy, but things take time, and I think we should see how things look at the end of May. And I agree with you, Heathcliff, there are some great club songs on Trespassing. Heck, a remix of NCOE would be a perfect club song, imo, and I'll bet we'll get that before long. And let's not forget that the video is coming soon, and that'll build awareness even more.
He came and went in Atlanta plugging NCOE, and no play. My husband said to me the other day, why aren't I hearing Adam. I just have to shrug my shoulders. |

I think a lot of CHR stations are waiting for the song to reach top 40. And they may have even told the label that they will add and spin NCOE once the song makes this milestone. So, my hope is that RCA has done the work to get the song to that point---hopefully a combo of spins from stations where he is doing concerts and stations that have agreed to add on the impact date. Just a few big stations spinning could be enough to push the song top 40.
It will be interesting to see what happens on Tuesday in terms of adds. NCOE is a pop song, and it really shouldn't be a hard sell to CHR radio. If RCA has any power left at all with radio we should see at least a few significant CHR adds this week.

I think Z100 will add this week ....and NCOE is destined to be a hit. ;D (I really, REALLY think they've just been waiting for the song they wanted). Am I living in LaLaLand? Haha!
I am with you on this. So LaLaLand has two residents. You have company! I struggle with the angst about the single. I like it a lot and even if I may have wished for something else, it is what it is. I am firmly on board this train and think that this week it will begin gaining steam fast. On the font issue... it does make it hard for me to read as I have early eye disease and just being on a computer for extended periods is a strain. The colors though really are a killer for me. Hope we use sparingly. :-[ |
