[/center][/quote] I think assuming that there will be a third single that is fully supported by RCA if NCOE doesn't do well on radio is fool-hardy.Here are things that help support NCOE doing well and therefore enable a potential third single to get label support: * Itunes sales spurred by radio play and video but also good buzz/word of mouth from fans and critics. Most of the fanbase buying the single. * Fans embracing the single wholeheartedly by requesting it and buying it and voting for it, and not dissing it on twitter or comments sections when interacting with the press and music media. I really hate even bringing up this comparison, but some fans of another idol thought that by refusing to request the the single that the label had released, or doing it 'under protest' and talking it down throughout their fandom they could 'force' the label to release another single. From what I understand it helped sink that single and ended that era. The label didn't throw financial support behind a third single. That's the Truth

Even if we (and some of the reviewers) think that the single choice may have not been to our liking, we need to support RCA's choices and Adam's success like madmen (Cuckoo ). Only that way can we hope to get singles #3, #4 etc. Personally, I think NCOE will be a hit. Adam deserves a hit and if I can do my bit to make it happen, I will. So I request EVERY DAY! |

I don't know what is happening on Twitter as I don't twit. But I do read Atop as much as I can.
IMO there is no sense in looking at what might have been or questioning why RCA picked the singles they did. It's over. The singles have been chosen.
I agree....there is NO guarantee Adam will get a third single. All we can do is support NCOE with all the might we have. We are a potent force..look what we do for charity, for instance. If we can channel that kind of energy in supporting NCOE in all the ways we know and move forward, we have done what we can do in a productive manner.
And I'm not criticizing anyone. I want this album to succeed as much as all of you.

Not hearing it in Atlanta, even thought he did all the radio visits here. I request daily, and have yet to hear it. I wanna scream sometimes......it is so frustrating.

I think Z100 will add this week ....and NCOE is destined to be a hit. ;D (I really, REALLY think they've just been waiting for the song they wanted). Am I living in LaLaLand? Haha!

Ok, so I'm one of those worriers too. I realize that Adam is doing several radio concerts in the next few weeks in hopes of getting adds and plays. Do you think the bigger radio stations he's playing concerts for will start to play his singles with lots of spins like he got for WWFM? I'm nervous because Adam did SO MANY radio visits already, even while BTIKM was slowing down so I thought those would be "pay it forward" spins for NCOE. Even though the track is doing somewhat better than the first single so early, I was hoping a lot of stations would jump on the band wagon early...
He's 41 in HAC, so maybe after reaching 40, the Top 40 stations will play him. Don't know. Need expert info here.Unfortunately, I don't know of any Atop members who are PDs or who work for RCA, nor any with a crystal ball... We can all speculate endlessly, but the thing is, none of us knows what will happen. However, it makes no sense for Adam to be doing all this promo and a bunch of radio concerts unless there is going to be some reciprocal support for NCOE. I understand that fans get antsy, but things take time, and I think we should see how things look at the end of May. And I agree with you, Heathcliff, there are some great club songs on Trespassing. Heck, a remix of NCOE would be a perfect club song, imo, and I'll bet we'll get that before long. And let's not forget that the video is coming soon, and that'll build awareness even more. |
