Nope. My normal white background and black text with occasional color. But people used occasional color before too. My pages look pretty much the same as always. Did you set your browser to always use a specific font for all pages? (The exact wording in the options menu depends on the browser, so it might be worded a bit differently than what I used here)
Most of the new enhancements are optional.

How many fans thought that WWFM was the best song on FYE, including all the bonus tracks? I don't remember WWFM being a fan favorite last era. Did most fans think that IIHY should have been the single after WWFM? I remember many thinking those two choices were not the best single choices. (just something to think about

But I do not think radio is the only way to sell this album. There are many songs on this album that RCA should be promoting to the dance clubs. From Donna Summer to Cher, songs that begin as club hits have made it to the radio and to a larger audience.This. Totally. I've never been shy about expressing that I don't think traditional radio is the be all end all, but if those who want to put all power in radio's hands and say if NCOE doesn't smash, the era is over, knock yourselves out. I don't believe it for a second. I believe in NCOE and I believe that RCA is biding its time. It hasn't been released to all markets and it won't even be released to radio until 5/29. It's 5/13. That's a long time with a LOT of promo in between. IMO, they have a plan. Trespassing is the priority right now. NCOE is the secondary, that will catch fire on Trespassing's coattails. The focus is on the album now. NCOE will be a part of that fire. LOVE this post, Susie. ITA. No worries at all for me! NCOE will be a hit by June 5th is my prediction! And if, by some strange chance I'm wrong , they'll have single #3 chosen already and ready to go in June. And frankly, I don't care which song is the next single, 'cause I love them all! This ALBUM is gonna be a hit! This ERA is gonna be a blast! ETA: I don't know where people get the idea that twitter peeps are dissing NCOE. I haven't seen one bit of that, though admittedly, I don't follow many. I do read Adam's feed, though--just haven't seen it. Lots of peeps like NCOE a bunch--I like it, too, even if I agree with the reviewers who would've chosen something else. But like Tigerlily pointed out with FYE, whatta we know! ;D

And IMO, this is not your paint-by-numbers pop release. You can sing to me all the Radio-Is-King laments you want, but I will never believe that Adam will not get a third single from this stellar album because of RCA's original miscalculation of BTIKM (its issues had nothing to do with Adam or the album). I'm not blaming RCA; they made a bad call, whatever the reason – it can happen to anyone, but the key is to right the ship. I think they are making that effort with NCOE. I HOPE those PDs who championed NCOE will come through. If they have any integrity, they will. But like everything, I think organic growth will take over. Adam will sing this song everywhere and word of mouth will grow. I do think it was very smart for RCA to set the impact date AFTER all the promo. The focus is on the album now. NCOE will be a part of that fire. The focus is on the album now. NCOE will be a part of that fire. THIS!!!!!!! YES. ALL OF IT!!!

Sorry I phrased that badly. I meant that you can tell a browser to always use the same font to display all text on all webpages overriding what the page has set. Since mys*&@^#r50 was mentioning that they could not see the fonts that others were using for posting, that seemed a likely cause of that (there could of course be others as well).

I remember some music industry guy saying something on the lines of: "Wait untill you see the media promotion they have planned for Trespassing"! Anyone else remember this? RCA better let Adam have a third single from Trespassing even if NCOE isn't a big hit (but I think it's going to do well) because they are the ones who picked it. Let Adam pick the next single that he wants out there for his fans. I think too many music people have said how good the songs are on Trespassing for RCA to ignore this and not put out more singles if NCOE isn't a hit. Of course I know very little about the music industry but that's how I see it and I'm sticking to it! ;D
There was one comment about the promo plan last December. Not sure how credible it was -- it came from Toby Knapp.
Regarding the single -- I believe in NCOE and think it was a smart choice. It is more than 2 weeks to Impacting Date. I recommend giving it a chance --- and requesting it.
Singles promoted to radio are very expensive -- and although the label fronts the money, it comes out of Adam's royalties in the end. If NCOE isn't a hit, it may be smart for Adam to just use other, non-radio promo.
If NCOE does not get a ton of airplay, I would rather they spend the $1+ million that a hit US Pop single typically costs on his tour than on radio. But thankfully fans do not have much influence because we often back the wrong strategy.
ETA: Oh Lyris -- sorry I misunderstood. Yes you can control the default font in your browser settings.

Reporting back from a very light Atop diet that consisted mostly of page 1 reading and a few luxury pages whenever time allowed. Let me thank the folks on this forum for putting all this wonderful information together and especially thank those who contribute to/make page 1 (Q3, rabbitrabbit and others). I read the summary daily and use the radio info posted there and enjoy the cakes and other visual delights along the way. Really appreciated, especially in such meager times, when it is not possible to spend more time on stanning.
Jumping into the immediately ongoing discussion because I cannot speak to any of the others yet. Not sure how I will ever catch up...(did reading every 10th page ever work for anyone???)
Here is my opinion on how I read American radio and Adam's issues with it: Any radio station's has as key customers unfortunately not its listeners. Its customer are the advertisers. And advertisers want Radio to play whatever retains/expands the core target audience, but preferably without offending anybody else in the process.
The name Bruno Mars happens to be significantly less divisive than the name Adam Lambert and PDs know that, obviously. Nobody is going to protest when a BM song gets played. Who knows how many silly protests these guys are getting when they 'OMG dare' to play AL on heavy rotation. I think the radio business is not anti-Adam per se, but it's a business, they are serving their own market interests.
Radio does not care about the integrity of the album and which song most sounds like Adam. They think, will my audience love it and how can I place this into the market without creating any adverse commotion.
And I think they gave RCA the advice to use a BM song like this one to present Adam back into the listener's frame of reference with the idea that after he had one song on the charts he would find less resistance with a next song that comes along with only his name alone.
If RCA is saying that they are still breaking Adam into the market then this is very telling, imo. They must have received much feedback of that kind, because most other ex-idols find themselves being phased out of the market after 3 years (David Cook just recently). With Adam they say they are still introducing him to the market and I think they are totally right, tbh.
The amount of folks who have Adam pegged totally differently than makes sense always astounds me and I think that the media and their sensationalist and gay focused journalism is largely to blame, because Adam himself conducts and presents himself about as conservative as I or anyone could possibly expect a rock or pop star to be. And I am looking forward to the day when Adam can be freer again than he is now. It is all in the heads of people, the fear, the misconceptions, the resistance, but I think it exists. There is still a lot of work to be done and this album needs to do some talking for Adam and for that it needs to get a chance.
So, NCOE will get my support and vote. Like many have mentioned, it is not a bad song, it just does not scream Adam and yes, there are better songs on the album. But they had less assurance of finding acceptance without causing controversy. The extreme conservatism here sucks, but I do think it is real and should not be underestimated.
The reviews look at the whole album and each song's contribution to that album and from that standpoint, yeap the two singles do not make sense. But from a radio station perspective, at least the second single does make sense.
Let's get NCOE up there in the charts and then single 3 and 4 will follow. And it also does not hurt to let people know that there are lots of great and greater songs on the album and to go buy the album.
I hope that Trespassing manages to take that top album spot for week 1. I would so wish this for Adam.
And with this, I'll go back to more reading and catching up....have white background, those recent font discussions don't bother me too much, as long as it does not get too wild. But for respect for others, I myself will probably use the tools sparingly. Nite all.

Unfortunately, I don't know of any Atop members who are PDs or who work for RCA, nor any with a crystal ball... We can all speculate endlessly, but the thing is, none of us knows what will happen. However, it makes no sense for Adam to be doing all this promo and a bunch of radio concerts unless there is going to be some reciprocal support for NCOE. I understand that fans get antsy, but things take time, and I think we should see how things look at the end of May. And I agree with you, Heathcliff, there are some great club songs on Trespassing. Heck, a remix of NCOE would be a perfect club song, imo, and I'll bet we'll get that before long. And let's not forget that the video is coming soon, and that'll build awareness even more.
He came and went in Atlanta plugging NCOE, and no play. My husband said to me the other day, why aren't I hearing Adam. I just have to shrug my shoulders.Or you could say, "Honey, WWWQ (Q100) is still playing If I had You and Whattya Want from Me, and WSTR (Star 94) is still playing Better Than I Know Myself plus his two older songs. Pshht, we have it better than many places, anyway, why are you expecting it on radio before the song's impact date? It isn't for another two and half weeks!"
