I bet they do. I'm glad they get some feedback, lol. Cuckoo should be the next single, imo. As I get the vibe Adam is not completely happy with the label's single decisions either, he may be getting his point of view across via these reviews without uttering a word... Just speculating here. BEST POP RECORD OF THE YEAR!!!
I think assuming that there will be a third single that is fully supported by RCA if NCOE doesn't do well on radio is fool-hardy.Here are things that help support NCOE doing well and therefore enable a potential third single to get label support: * Itunes sales spurred by radio play and video but also good buzz/word of mouth from fans and critics. Most of the fanbase buying the single. * Fans embracing the single wholeheartedly by requesting it and buying it and voting for it, and not dissing it on twitter or comments sections when interacting with the press and music media. I really hate even bringing up this comparison, but some fans of another idol thought that by refusing to request the the single that the label had released, or doing it 'under protest' and talking it down throughout their fandom they could 'force' the label to release another single. From what I understand it helped sink that single and ended that era. The label didn't throw financial support behind a third single. That's the Truth By the way writing in other unreleased Trespassing songs on mediabase forms just outs one as a super-fan not in touch with how radio singles work and therefore not someone to take seriously as a listener. It might be fun, but if your goal is to get NCOE played? It won't help and could hinder that.
^^^THIS!!! NCOE IS the single. RCA is putting tons of money and support behind it! I will support it because I support Adam and this album era and it is all interconnected to making this era the success it should be. If I as a fan don't support this single in every way possible (including being positive about it), why would I expect radio or radio listeners to support it? I also try to remember that there are hundreds of lurkers here everyday who might be spurred on to request or tweet about NCOE if they feel positive energy surrounding the single! Your example of TT is a perfect example of what can and does happen when fans are not behind a single choice. There are no guarantees of a fully-supported third or fourth single for anyone if the previous one fails to catch on. I can't do anything about the PDs or radio stations, but I can request daily and show my positive support online, twitter, and in the outside world. It's all I can do to!

I remember some music industry guy saying something on the lines of: "Wait untill you see the media promotion they have planned for Trespassing"! Anyone else remember this?
RCA better let Adam have a third single from Trespassing even if NCOE isn't a big hit (but I think it's going to do well) because they are the ones who picked it. Let Adam pick the next single that he wants out there for his fans. I think too many music people have said how good the songs are on Trespassing for RCA to ignore this and not put out more singles if NCOE isn't a hit.
Of course I know very little about the music industry but that's how I see it and I'm sticking to it! ;D

Oops...this post sent me down a rabbithole... So according to this Wiki review compilation above, when compared to Metacritics list of reviewers who count towards their overall score: metacritic.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1508/session/L3Nuby8wL3NpZC9DOFVxQkczaw==(link's not blue and I forgot how to do that) SO FAR: AllMusic 4/5 Ewww Weekly 3.5/5 (B-) Rolling Stone 4/5 Without knowing exactly how much more weight the RS has over the AM or the Ewww, I'd guess he's got about an 84 right now. No score until at least 4 reviews from their list are in, so 1 more to go...I wonder who will be the next from the list to review Trespassing? Billboard? Pop Matters? One of the city papers? I'd like to look up who reviewed FYE, but I'm too tired. MusicAll Music Guide Absolute Punk Alternative Press* American Songwriter Austin Chronicle Billboard BBC Music Blurt Boston Globe Chicago Tribune Clash Music CMJ Cokemachineglow.com Consequence of Sound Country Weekly Delusions of Adequacy DJ Booth Drowned In Sound Dusted Magazine Entertainment Weekly Exclaim Fact Magazine (UK) The Fly (UK) Filter* The Guardian HipHopDX The Independent (UK) Kerrang!* Los Angeles Times Metal Hammer (UK)* Mojo* MSN Expert Witness (Robert Christgau) Mixmag musicOMH.com New Musical Express The New York Times No Ripcord NOW Magazine (Toronto) The Observer Okay Player One Thirty BPM The Onion (A.V. Club) Paste Magazine The Phoenix (Boston) Pitchfork Pop Matters Prefix Magazine Q Magazine* The Quietus Resident Advisor Revolver* Rock Sound Rolling Stone Slant Magazine The Source * Spin* Sputnikmusic The Telegraph (UK) This is Fake DIY Tiny Mix Tapes Uncut* Under The Radar* Urb* The Wire* Sorry for the longass post, but I'm hoping it's a dead thread--and this will give me an easy way to check on this later. The weird thing is, I care very little about reviews--I AM IN LOVE WITH TRESPASSING--it's just that the majority have been SO GOOD that I'm a little excited about the potential MetaCritic score. I'll probably get over that by tomorrow, LOL! DAMN RABBITHOLES! ;D

huh? You don't see lots of members posting in different fonts and/or colour?? Q3 gave us all sorts of things to play around with. Nope. My normal white background and black text with occasional color. But people used occasional color before too. My pages look pretty much the same as always. Did you set your browser to always use a specific font for all pages? (The exact wording in the options menu depends on the browser, so it might be worded a bit differently than what I used here)

Is there a guide somewhere the explain the various styles, without going through each of them to see what it looks like? (It looks like the default style has changed and it is too distracting to me)

Speaking of reviews, I wonder when that LA Times guy is going to review the album? He tweeted about it days ago!

Ok, so I'm one of those worriers too. I realize that Adam is doing several radio concerts in the next few weeks in hopes of getting adds and plays. Do you think the bigger radio stations he's playing concerts for will start to play his singles with lots of spins like he got for WWFM? I'm nervous because Adam did SO MANY radio visits already, even while BTIKM was slowing down so I thought those would be "pay it forward" spins for NCOE. Even though the track is doing somewhat better than the first single so early, I was hoping a lot of stations would jump on the band wagon early... A lot of stations on Hot AC HAVE jumped on the bandwagon early, with much more enthusiasm then for BTIKM for example. But as to your question about the radio concerts, here are the stations Adam is doing concerts for and how many times they have played NCOE this week:WHTZ, Z100 New York Top 40 - hasn't yet started playing yet (but very likely to with the iheart concert) WKSC, KISS 103.5 Chicago, IL Top 40 - 11 spins this week WXKS, KISS 108 Boston, MA, Top 40 - 14 spins this week WKTU, 103.5 KTU New York, Top 40 - 15 spins this week WIOQ, Q102 Philadelphia, PA, Top 40 - 7 spins this week WKRZ, 98.5 KRZ Wilkes-Barre, Top 40 - 14 spins this week (24 last week - early leader getting in sync w/ others?) WTIC, 96.5 TIC Hartford,CT, HAC - 16 spins this week WIAD, 94.7 Fresh FM Washington DC, HAC - 21 spins this week Canada. Interview at MusiquePlus Montreal, Quebec -- don't know the exact radio correlation but French-speaking Canada picked up NCOE right away. Top 40 Canadian big market spinners: CFUN-FM Vancouver Canada-Top 40 - 49 spins this week CFEL-FM Quebec City Canada-Top 40 - 41 spins this week CKOI-FM Montreal Canada-Top 40 - 15 spins this week CHIK-FM Quebec City Canada-Top 40 - 5 spins this week (just started) So yeah, it's working , slowly but building toward the impact date.
