Though the spectacle-prone singer finished second in 2009 behind the bland pop-rock softie Kris Allen, he attained a near-Kelly Clarkson level of renown thanks to his arresting presence on the show, and for coming out as a gay man weeks after the eighth-season finale. Lambert will leave himself open again for public scrutiny in July when he fills in for one of his primary influences, the late Freddie Mercury,during five European concerts with Brian May and Roger Taylor of Queen. Lambert first joined the English group's remaining members on "Idol." "It's a daunting task," he said over lunch last month at a Larchmont Boulevard vegan joint. "But I'm looking forward to it. Got my Deluxe CD in the mail today. Downloading into laptop now. Should be on iPod in time to listen while doing dinner dishes. Have not had a chance to watch a single video today.....

Ok, and after reading all the reviews, ITA with them that BTIKM should not have been their first single choice! Why not Cuckoo or Shady? Please, dear gods, let them release one of these shake yo ass dance songs!

The Box Sex was worth every penny. Just having the album in vinyl for one who grew up on vinyl is just awesome. Next, the lithographs, OH MY!!!!. Each picture is AFL art. I got a little concerned about the CD/DVD, but there it was-- FAN EDITION. I had to stare at that for a moment. I like that there is a FAN edition. We are a different breed. We believed. Adam has delivered. Sigh. Happy tears. This ride with Adam--------  I want to relish this moment. Who knows what tomorrow will bring. |

If AFL got an Olympic Queen paycheque, that would mean more $$ for a kick-ass tour production. And more JACKETS!!!
I would imagine it won't be a pay gig, it's more like "honored to be asked" sort of thing. One of my uncles was on the Chinese Olympic Committee back in 2008, he told me it was such a complicated process to narrow down the performers list, cuz it's considered an enormous honor to be asked, and monetary compensation was definitely NOT part of equation. Well, it could be different somewhere else though...I dunno know.  |

I am holding my own copy of Trespassing!!!
I have no idea how many copies are still out there on their way to my house. That makes it even more exciting.
I love reading everyone's posts. Thanks for all the videos, links, pictures, failings. Just toooooooo much to handle.
