So, I told you about my 86 year old dad calling to tell me Adam would be on. I told him I had already seen it in Eastern time. But, if he wasn't busy, he should watch the performance at the end of the show (so he wouldn't have to watch the segment on cat vacuuming). Didn't really think he would.
Got a call from mom (87) and dad a few minutes ago. Mom had been getting out of the shower when Adam came on to sing. Dad called her in to watch and she stood in the living room naked with a towel to see our boy. Her response? "I think he's going to be around for a long time". Thought he was very good looking, high energy, could see he was enjoying himself, good voice, great range, powerful. Could see why I liked him. Could see how he would appeal to a broad range of people. He's here to stay.
The mental image of my 87 yr old mom, naked, dripping wet, standing and watching Adam on TV will amuse me for years to come.
