Well there is the foreign language and culture to deal with too. Yes, they are so lucky to have found each other - Sauli is not the only lucky one. Certainly they are doing their best and we have to leave it to them to sort out. We as fans are emotionally attached first and foremost to the music, but also to Adam - and Sauli is part of the equation and sometimes in our thoughts a lot.

Rabbit thank you for answering my question about this review and the metacritic score. I was wondering since I posted it.

iTunes is fast! Already got "Endless Summer" up there prominently on the main page. Will definitely see a spike on the chart but, I'm confident that with Idol performance, Adam should be back on top!!

In happier news Adam being on NPR weekend all things considered is WONDERFUL!!!! It has serious cred and like that article gelly brought over points out it can lead to a sales bump often more significant than late-night TV, and with a very different group of people than those reached by idol.
Yay Jamie! We didn't get soundopinions, but we got something betterer!!!

I'm a major NPR fan and never miss All Things Considered...
The demographic reached by NPR is varied in all aspects which is one of the reasons I enjoy listening. It covers a wide range of music, news etc and introduces loads of personalities an individual may never have thought about.
I often think this is what Eber tunes in to...

Maybe if you have not experienced what it is like to live in a foreign country all alone you can't feel any empathy. We all project our own experiences and I know that the amount of feelings we involve in our thinking is different. But he did make a huge leap leaving everything behind to be with his love, that cannot be denied. It must have been hard for quite a long time. No "posh life" can change that feeling. For sure things are different now than a year ago, Sauli is more established now and has found some friends. I agree that the few weeks they have been apart at a time should not be a big deal. However, they have great challenges ahead when Adam is away from home for much longer periods. I just hope that they make the right decisions for them and that they have the choice to be together enough. Long distance relationships are not easy at all - for both of them. I am more in the camp irish but not worrying too much at the moment. Just waiting for the summer to see how they are going to arrange things - and hoping for the best. I've moved twice to states where I had no friends, no family and no connections. It's not that different than a foreign country and the first time was when I was married to someone in the Army and he was out in the field for 30 days at a time. I made friends. I found a job. I figured it out because I was a smart, capable and resourceful person. Just as Sauli is. I guess maybe I just don't spend much time worrying about Adam and Sauli's relationship however, when I do think about it I think how lucky they are to have found each other and how lucky Sauli is that someone as amazing as Adam loves him. I am not sure why people are thinking that pain and lonliness is a zero sum game because it isn't. And moving to another state[or in my case, province] really is not at all the same as moving to another country. I moved about the country all my life...both as a child and an adult. When I moved to the US, from Canada [so no language issues] I was gob-smacked at the cultural differences and at how alone I felt at times. I am an outgoing and social person, and very busy, but the culture shock I felt caught me completely by surprise. People were kind and thoughtful and I made lasting friendships...but do not think it is the same as simply moving to another state as it really is not. Certainly wasn't for me anyways....JMHO

hehe....nah Irish, I think your concern is perfectly legit. The one good thing I see is that he's not tied to their home with young children or a 9 to 5 job. He's available to travel with Adam or at least fly in to visit regularly. I think they'll be fine. Gah! I'm dying to see what Adam has up his fabulous sleeve tonight!
