@947freshfm: FRESHtival headliner Adam Lambert talks about working with Lady Gaga and Being A Kelly Clarkson Fan 947freshfm.cbslocal.com/2012/05/17/adam-lambert-on-collaborating-with-lady-gaga-being-a-kelly-clarkson-fan/Adam Lambert On Collaborating With Lady Gaga, Being A Kelly Clarkson Fan Freshtival headliner Adam Lambert has been busy promoting his recent release Trespassing and stopped by Mix 96.5/Houston to discuss what it was like working with Lady Gaga and his love for Kelly Clarkson‘s new single. Lambert featured “Fever” on his debut album For Your Entertainment and filled listeners in on the behind-the-scenes process. “Gaga wrote ‘Fever.’ I recorded it with her in the studio and we had quite a day. It was really fun,” Lambert recalled. Admitting that the duo may have had a drink “or two or four” while in the studio Lambert said he needed a certain type of energy for the track. more

I am not sure why people are thinking that pain and lonliness is a zero sum game because it isn't. And moving to another state[or in my case, province] really is not at all the same as moving to another country. I moved about the country all my life...both as a child and an adult. When I moved to the US, from Canada [so no language issues] I was gob-smacked at the cultural differences and at how alone I felt at times. I am an outgoing and social person, and very busy, but the culture shock I felt caught me completely by surprise. People were kind and thoughtful and I made lasting friendships...but do not think it is the same as simply moving to another state as it really is not. Certainly wasn't for me anyways....JMHO Poor Sauli... maybe he should just go back to Finland and find a nice Finnish boyfriend who will stick by his side 24/7 so he's not sad and lonely I think mzsue is talking about herself? :

web.utsandiego.com/news/2012/may/17/tp-lambert-living-a-real-life/LAMBERT LIVING ‘A REAL LIFE’Former ‘Idol’ finalist stays out of the spotlight (mostly) as he releases his second album Q: What’s it been like for you over the past year after the “Idol” maelstrom died down? A: In that time, I fell in love (with Finnish “Big Brother” winner Sauli Koskinen), which is great. I have an amazing relationship. I also got to spend a lot more time with my friends and family. Over the past year, besides taking time to write and record the album, I’ve had a lot of downtime, which has been really nice, to live a real life again — or what seems like one — and I think that really informed my writing process and experience making the album. Q: How did that affect your creative process? A: Coming back to real life was a bit of shock. You kind of have to decompress, and I had some failed romantic situations, and I was a bit tired and worn out, so at the beginning, there was some darkness I was working through, which was great. It was real. It was visceral. Then, I got in my relationship, I started relaxing and having more time to myself with my friends and wanting to go out again. more Q&A.. A quote from the article: "Tonight, San Diego’s most successful “Idol” contestant (so far) is returning to the show to perform songs from the new album. Also tonight, Chula Vista teen Jessica Sanchez will learn if she advances to the finals. Lambert recollected on his life after reality TV. " Hmm, I'm afraid to get too excited but dare we wish!!!

Poor Sauli... maybe he should just go back to Finland and find a nice Finnish boyfriend who will stick by his side 24/7 so he's not sad and lonely I think mzsue is talking about herself? : I know but the worry seems to be that Sauli is so sad and unhappy that he and Adam's relationship might not survive. wasn't a comment on her experience which I get was probably difficult. She's not in the same situation as Sauli though. He has the resources to travel if he wishes not to mention he's surrounded by Adam's friends and family who probably have gone out of their way to make him feel welcome and kept him busy. For the record, moving from the City to a town so small they had one cop and one stop light was pretty jarring (which I did at 22) after having never been out of my home state before.

I have a couple of the LA Weekly copies if anyone wants one. Glossy cover instead of the usual newsprint and bound (glued) instead of loose pages. Let me know.
ETA: Copies I had are gone, but if you are still interested let me know and I will see if I can procure some more. No promises, unfortunately :(
