Been doing some math here. If 100,000 albums were sold. Some of us buying up to 10 copies ( some cases more, some less, but 10 is a good average)...that is essentially saying that there is only 10,000 die hard fans. Other fans are either pirating or not buying yet, or at all......we gotta get him played on radio, and reach the masses.
The 100,000 still seems low to me.

Do you really think the average fan bought 10? Not all of his fans have that kind of money. I bought 3 and I think I'm a diehard fan.

Why oh why wasn't Shady his first single???
I really wish RCA would take some risks rather than play the safe game with the PDs. Can't they just ask Interscope and Universal for help/tips?*whispers* Was anyone here wishing and imagining him singing 'Trespassing' last night? I'm guilty as charged. It even prevented me from flailing here with you guys, since I'm all for supporting Adam's new single. TP and Kickin In and Shady have been my drug of choice lately. My sweetest seeds. ETA Gelly, Sauli photos are gorgeous, thanks for posting. Blueberry, thanks for the new Tutka. Does anyone know why Mia and Zinnia didn't translate the last one?

An average of 10 albums per a die-hard fan is a bit much. I own only 2 albums compared to 10 FYE I bought due to my different financial situation. I believe there are many new fans. If you follow @adamimpress you can see that many that are not fans are buying the album. I think we all agree that NCOE needs to be a hit to keep the album selling.

There are SO MANY new fans discovering him on twitter. I find it hard to believe that sales will not be higher then predicted. And after the extraordinary performance last night (eclipsing everyone else on that stage) there has to be a big bump in the next few days. I mean it's just common sense right?
Speaking of twitter - my local CHR station (B104) is now following me! Yikes! I guess this means I can't tweet "Fuck Radio" anymore?

I loved last night, but I too wish Adam could be turned loose to sing songs like Shady and Trespassing on TV. My rocker friend taped the show and watched it ... I'm sure she had never watched Idol before ... and then e-mailed me, "Why the heck didn't he sing Shady?" :-/
I sure hope Q3 is right about radio coming on board for this song next week and the week after. Most of the artists I love do not get played on the radio and do just fine, but I know it's something Adam wants, needs, and has put a tremendous amount of effort into.
I loved the Sinatra-related tweets too! Though their styles are different, Adam seems tough and focused to me, like Sinatra, and super creative and innovative like he was. And a master of his vocal instrument as Old Blue Eyes was.

So 10 may be a little high. But even if it was averaged much lower, that is saying 10,000 to maybe max 20,000 diehard. Still awfully low.

Been debating this question: would it be better to buy 10 copies of Trespassing Deluxe, or one Box Sex?
My budget can only stand so much. From an Adam support standpoint, I'm thinking the 10 copies would be better. But from a stan standpoint, it's the box set.
What do you think? Discuss.

Well, I consider myself a diehard fan and my number is not even close to 10. Imo that's not an average. Also I don't think there are 10,000 diehard fans. What was the number of "Aftermath Remix" downloads? I remember 5,000 and that's probably closer to those fans who are crazy (in the nicest possible way) enough to buy several albums. And, lastly, many diehard fans who bought whatever number are not in the US and don't cound towards the BB charting.
