I loved last night, but I too wish Adam could be turned loose to sing songs like Shady and Trespassing on TV. My rocker friend taped the show and watched it ... I'm sure she had never watched Idol before ... and then e-mailed me, "Why the heck didn't he sing Shady?" :-/ I sure hope Q3 is right about radio coming on board for this song next week and the week after. Most of the artists I love do not get played on the radio and do just fine, but I know it's something Adam wants, needs, and has put a tremendous amount of effort into. I loved the Sinatra-related tweets too! Though their styles are different, Adam seems tough and focused to me, like Sinatra, and super creative and innovative like he was. And a master of his vocal instrument as Old Blue Eyes was. Artists perform their current singles on Idol or any other awards show, etc. they are a part of. That is how it works. It's how promo works. This performance wasn't about trying to please small groups of hardcore stans. (which he could obviously never do anyways) If Adam had sang Shady, other fans would have wanted him to sing Trespassing. If he had sung Trespassing, other fans would have wanted him to sing Cuckoo. If he had sung Cuckoo, other fans would have wanted him to sing ____________. The list could go on and on. When Adam performed WWFM on AI during season 9, I remember fans bitching to high heaven about that! That performance ending up being the right move! Yes, I know. The point was that this newcomer to Adam expressed puzzlement about why NCOE was chosen to represent Adam to the world, rather than something approaching his best work. I understand the reasons why a more edgy single was not chosen. My friend did not understand them, though, and actually disbelieved me when I told her about the radio/homophobia. Living in a gay-friendly city leaves many of us in a nice bubble of denial (as Adam himself has said he was) about the challenges facing him in this important arena.

Hi Y'all, A bit late to the party but have to post for a pleasant surprise.. I am currently in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and they showed the Idol a day later than US, so I tuned in to watch Adam and turned the TV off after Adam's performance. I turned the TV on again an hour later hoping they will show it again and almost fell off my chair when I saw the Glam Nation Live is on. I almost checked my DVD player to make sure that my DVD player isn't playing by itselt. LOLThe encore is on now.. it is on StarWorld cable channel which shows in most of SE Asia. That's funny!! Thanks for sharing your story!!

While we wait for Chicago.... Interesting article I found on Yahoo. It states that while IQ is important, EQ (emotional intelligence), MQ (moral intelligence) and BQ (body intelligence) are equally, or more important for success. It seems to me that Adam has always had at least the first three: IQ, EQ and MQ, and more recently he has concentrated also on BQ. A 4X gifted guy. finance.yahoo.com/news/intelligence-is-overrated--what-you-really-need-to-succeed.html

Trespassing is like a voyeuristic glimpse into the future in terms of musical creativity and production technique. It is pretty stunning in all departments with each new track attempting to outdo the previous in a battle of brilliantly conceived and expertly executed compositions. The album is artistic dynamite, oozes decadent charm and sheer talent from every pore.citybeat.co.uk/presenter/john-kearns/press/

WELCOME !!!!!!I am always so glad to see Asian members here as its really hard for most English-speaking Adam fans to know what's happening in that huge part of the world, and we KNOW Adam has lots of fans there!! The more Malay representation, the better!!! [sighs] I really wish we still had our Pinoy posters. We used to have quite a few on Planet Fierce, but they became missionaries to form the Philippines' fangroups.
