Artists perform their current singles on Idol or any other awards show, etc. they are a part of. That is how it works. It's how promo works. This performance wasn't about trying to please small groups of hardcore stans. (which he could obviously never do anyways) If Adam had sang Shady, other fans would have wanted him to sing Trespassing. If he had sung Trespassing, other fans would have wanted him to sing Cuckoo. If he had sung Cuckoo, other fans would have wanted him to sing ____________. The list could go on and on. When Adam performed WWFM on AI during season 9, I remember fans bitching to high heaven about that! That performance ending up being the right move!  Yes, I know. The point was that this newcomer to Adam expressed puzzlement about why NCOE was chosen to represent Adam to the world, rather than something approaching his best work. I understand the reasons why a more edgy single was not chosen. My friend did not understand them, though, and actually disbelieved me when I told her about the radio/homophobia. Living in a gay-friendly city leaves many of us in a nice bubble of denial (as Adam himself has said he was) about the challenges facing him in this important arena. I'm sorry, this wasn't directed at your friend!  I probably should have posted this as a stand alone comment! I was replying to the various "why didn't Adam sing..." comments and yours was the last one before everyone got into the "how many cds did I buy" discussion. |

Hoppers I put my Walmart Deluxe in my car and the fuck, bitch, shit, etc. are there. It's the same as the one in my Box Sex. There were no "explicit" warnings, etc. on the cover either. I don't know about the regular version. I do know that the lyrics were changed in the Fame Monster one I bought awhile back from Walmart to "free bit baby". Maybe there has been a loosening of the requirements/standards. IDK

*whispers* Was anyone here wishing and imagining him singing 'Trespassing' last night? I'm guilty as charged. It even prevented me from flailing here with you guys, since I'm all for supporting Adam's new single. TP and Kickin In and Shady have been my drug of choice lately. My sweetest seeds. Guilty here, too. I do like NCOE (and my 9-year-old LOVES it--she has been playing it over and over and singing along with the high parts especially--she was in choir this year and likes to sing high now!), but I can't help but imagine how amazing a performance of Trespassing would have been. He loves that song so much and the audience would have been out of their minds with the energy he brings to that. All in all, I thought he did a fantastic job with NCOE, but I agree that Trespassing is really the signature song from the album and would have rocked hard. He'll perform Trespassing when it's a single.  |

I'm sorry but I have to post these pics. He is SO hot! Probably from the photoshoot. And don't tell me to post 10 Adam pics I won't . I have too much to read!   ETA: Gelly14 thanks for posting!!! Gorgeous! But I am compelled to respond to your opening comment.
Just to be clear. There is no rule that you have to post 10 Adam pictures for every picture of Sauli. I think this may have started as a joke but it is neither funny or an ATOP rule.
Sauli is part of Adam's life just like everyone else around Adam. Pictures of Sauli can be posted here. But, like everything else in the Adam news, please make a comment or do something to relate it to Adam.
If there is ever a new rule, I will post it on page 1. And page 1 has never contained a rule about Sauli photos.
These photos look like the new Fault Magazine photos and are awesome. As these photos come out, more will be posted in the Adam News Thread. If you don't want to look at them, scroll.
This is not a subject for discussion.
Finally, an attempt to institute a rouge policy on this forum is against the rules. So do not even consider posting something like the Adam-Sauli Photo Ratio rule.

I loved last night, but I too wish Adam could be turned loose to sing songs like Shady and Trespassing on TV. My rocker friend taped the show and watched it ... I'm sure she had never watched Idol before ... and then e-mailed me, "Why the heck didn't he sing Shady?" :-/ I sure hope Q3 is right about radio coming on board for this song next week and the week after. Most of the artists I love do not get played on the radio and do just fine, but I know it's something Adam wants, needs, and has put a tremendous amount of effort into. I loved the Sinatra-related tweets too! Though their styles are different, Adam seems tough and focused to me, like Sinatra, and super creative and innovative like he was.
