I AM SURPRISED THERE WAS SO LITTLE RESPONSE TO THIS NEWS. I POSTED JUST AS TONIGHT'S CONCERT WAS GETTING UNDER WAY SO PERHAPS YOU ALL WERE DISTRACTED. I POSTED THIS EARLIER WITH MORE BELLS AND WHISTLES BUT THERE WERE WORRIES BEING EXCITED MIGHT JINX IT AND I RESPECT THAT SO I AM JUST MAKING SURE YOU ALL GOT THE LINK TO THIS UPDATE Oh I'm right with you....just holding my breath...waitin' waitin' waitin......  |

The Nielsen SoundScan Building Chart is more than a guess -- if its sales for the first 4 days of the week and a forecast for the rest of the week. It is almost right in rank. Sometimes a bit off on the sales units.
But not time to celebrate.

I don't see it listed or does it fall under one of those "odd" names like Trans World or Anderson Merchandisers?? The Building Chart reflects the first four days (Monday through Thursday) of SoundScan's tracking week (which ends Sunday) as reported by six major merchants: iTunes, Trans World Entertainment, Best Buy, Starbucks, Target and Anderson Merchandisers. Billboard estimates that they make up about 85% of all U.S. album sales.Isn't Amazon a big album retailer? No? |
