Now if he was getting a lot of negative feedback, I get that, but when it is only a couple of crazies, not sure of his motive. I wonder if it at times it might fuel the drama. I don't know if you've read his @ replies last night but he got tons of negative feedback, not just a few from a couple of crazies. IMO Adam was way too mild-mannered and polite. Exactly. And Adam's motive? I would think that showing support for something that DIRECTLY affects his civil rights was more than sufficient. Why, when many other celebrities have shown support for one party or the other, should Adam be expected to keep silent?

I think it would be easier to name the celebrities who have NOT spoken out & supported one or the other candidate than those who HAVE. Why in the world would anyone (much less a fan) single out Adam? Especially when this election can have such a profound effect on his life.

Cause the person who got pitchfork + torched was the person who told Adam not to go political on Twitter Did you read all of her tweets to him? Because among other stuff she also told him to JUST SING, because that's what she's paying for. She didn't just tell him not to be political, she was plain nasty. And trying to reason with a person like that is not bullying. And all that is not a problem of "fandom" but social media and people who a clueless about basic things in life. I didn't get a chance to see them all actually, I did however see lots of replies to her and there was not much "trying to reason" in there from what I saw... like I said I didn't see hers, but nasty or not, it just seemed like there were a lot of people jumping at the chance to go off on someone, when Adam's a big boy and it's better to just ignore folks like that. Maybe it was just a few stragglers doing the stuff I saw, I just found it really surprising and a bit unsettling at the time. ymmv

IMHO Adam did the right thing.. He is a citizen of this country, even though there are some who would refute his right to have full rights. Freedom of speech people... If more people spoke out about the injustices in the United States just maybe we wouldn't be in the shape we are in today. Silence is often interpreted as being in agreement with something said or done.
Adam is fighting for equality in our country, why wouldn't he support the candidate that agrees with him and why wouldn't he give his opinion. His future depends on who gets elected. Actually all of our futures depend on it.. As a woman ,with two daughter and four granddaughters ,I don't want our right to our own bodies taken away by the government. If we don't speak out we lose.

This thread has been very quiet lately and that's a good thing imo. I think some of us (me for one) have realized:
1) Adam can have a very successful career without US radio, and/or
2) Radio will eventually come on board as his international profile keeps rising.

This. I think we are jettisoning our expectations for Trespassing and Adam's career. It might not happen on radio. It might not happen with pop. Divas is a great hosting gig--man can talk, and say intelligent things. He is extraordinarily likable. He has other talents than singing. I'm finding this stage in his career fascinating.

You expressed exactly where I am at. It is interesting to watch this unfold. PPL, Voice of China, Queen + Adam Lambert and now the VH1 Divas display his talent in interesting settings. Concerts in SA, China and Russia are also bode well for his future. The only thing I feel sad about is that this wonderful album was not given half of chance because of American radio.

I have to vent. I want to join everyone in their positivity. I know Adam is in a good place, he has accomplished so much, etc. But I feel I have just been punched in the gut and I want to cry. All the kids in the class got invited to the party except for mine. GLAAD is celebrating all the LGBT artists who got grammy nods and tweeting about it. Joe. My. God. posts an article on his blog with the list of 60 reasons to be proud this year, the best year so far. joemygod.blogspot.com/2012/12/60-reasons-to-be-proud-in-2012.html. And my Adam is not part of either. I am so happy for the amazing strides that have been made for the community. And I know Adam contributed to it whether others want to recognize him or not. It makes me sad. It makes me sick. And then I want to say just fuck them all. Like I might say to the kid that did not get the invite...it's a stupid party anyway, we can have more fun doing our on thing...Or you're too good for those silly kids, they don't know what they are missing. (but it still hurts) My solace is knowing Adam values his Glamberts and measures his success through us! I am Glambert.
