I'm usually on the light side, but right now... I think all the wait for any idol news is so exhausting and I've just read on Twitter about all the artists performing at the VMA's but not Adam.
I just don't get it. All these positive articles be mtv buzzworthy. They are almost writing about everything he does, but won't play his videos and he is not asked to perform on their shows. :-/ The same for radio in the US. (Radio in Germany is more cosistent, not many articles and not many spins, which is actually worse :-/ ; I don't know anything about radio in other countries)
This reminds me somehow of the article about the most underrated artists Adam was in. They wrote that at this point Adam is seen more as a celebrity than a singer. I somehow think it is true and that makes me sad. :(

I agree, Aralid. Part of the problem IS that he is seen as more of a celebrity than a singer---one of the hazards of coming off a reality show and possessing a big personality. Just waiting for the music to catch up.
More than the awards shows, I am sad he didn't get a part in the huge "i Heart Radio" concert. That feels like a major slap in face to me, especially when he has a CD to promote. There are SO many artists performing.

Now I am back on the worry train about AI. I was pretty convinced he had it tied up, but much less so after the twitter party. One thing I am worried about is how this will effect the single promotion. I was somewhat surprised he got another single because of how the first two did. I know that lots of singles were planned, but when sales came is so low it seemed logical that that could have chanced. I have long felt the decision to release was done on the strength of the Idol judgeship. Idol would have guaranteed so much promotion that a single would have been a better bet by far. Now if the judgeship doesn't happen, I fear RCA might just throw it out there with no support. Sorry to be so dark again.

Holding on to Adam is an International star ,hopefully his album is getting recognition overseas. I'm pretty down in the mouth too. I feel like he is being a bit shunned in the U.S.

Had to hightail over hear again as my angst mentor just went nuts over the fact that Enrique is not listed on the winter dates for JLO tour. That seems like this could be the beginning of the end of our Idol speculation with Adam out in the cold.

I don't know anything about the iheart radio concert though. you're probably right about the reasons. but on the other hand without that personality he would been forgotten by many short after idol. Re idol: i think there are many reasons why concerts are being cancelled. i still think adam is in.

Re idol: i think there are many reasons why concerts are being cancelled. i still think adam is in. In some ways his personality is what's keeping him afloat in the media as radio has basically rejected everything so far. He is so charming and interesting, and it goes a long way. My biggest "concern" about Enrique is that he was mentioned in the THR Shirley Halperin article. Shirley tends to know what's happening, and where there's smoke there's fire...

That seems like this could be the beginning of the end of our Idol speculation with Adam out in the cold. Quick question---was Enrique never listed for the winter dates, or were these dates cancelled? It is my understanding that he was listed and now is removed. That does not look good for our boy. I would not care so much about Idol, though would love him on my TV, if I thought his new single was going to get good radio play. Sadly, I just don't see this happening so we get another "flop" and this era, which based on material and great vocal talent should have been very successful, will be over. I hope RCA will keep him for a third try. Again sorry for being so dark. The few people that come here know that they are not in for sunshine and rainbows.

I will be very sad if Adam doesn't get Idol, but somehow I think this may be AI 's last year,IMHO the show just isn't relevant or current, It may be a blessing in disguise if Adam isn't a judge, maybe something incredible will turn up for Adam.. The old "if one door closes .."adage. I guess we'll just have to see.
I don't think a BB#1 album can be called a flop. no one can take that title away. Also first gay artist to be at that level another first. Therefore a success . It's all in the perception and the perception seems to be that it is successful. IMHO RCA isn't going anywhere they are going to put out a third single. Adam has said he will be touring in the future. Not to worry.. this man is just getting started,It's only been three years.. He's done amazingly well. :-*There will always be ups and downs...nothing seems to go straight up.
