Q3, you wrote this yesterday and I had to bring it over: Who the fuck cares?? Seriously. I am gonna celebrate and if people want to mock or be jealous. Screw them. NO ONE IS GONNA DIMINISH MY PRIDE.
To quote AFL:
"I dont need no sympathy I wont cry and wine Life's my light and liberty and I'll shine when I wanna shine Make their faces crack There's no turning back LETS GO!"
After 3 years 4 months and 2 weeks of this BS, I am not interested in anything but celebrating Adam's soon-to-be #1 album.
And celebrating the first Idol alum to get an 80 from Metacritic and 4 stars from RS.
And celebrating a vocalist who is worthy of his invite to sing at Royal Albert Hall.
And anyone who want to trivialize Adam's #1 with some mathematical, analytical BS can wallow in their numbers. 'cause I do not have any more time to waste on this Idol BS.
I love Trespassing. The people who I know who know music love Trespassing.
Time to listen to Adam Lambert's #1 album again.
So if you feel like dueling -- at least respect Adam enough to duel with music not numbers.
What Idol album has a track with the energy of Trespassing or the vocal and lyrical finesse of Underneath or the abandoned joy of Naked Love and Cuckoo or the delicious sleaze of Shady?
Idol fans get excited when their artist performs at the Grand Ole Opry. Well Adam blew the roof off for the historic Ryman Auditorium and now he is going to play Royal Albert Hall.
Wait until you read tomorrows ATop page 1. 'caused I am fired up and ready to go.
<< off my soapbox >>
This is, in my opinion, THE single greatest thing ever posted on Adamtopia. EVER. Q3, Mahalo for your dedication. Thank you for this special, positive thread. What a wonderful place to spend the day basking in the glory of Adam's truly remarkable accomplishments. But most of all, THANK YOU for the delicate dance you manage to do-- You have the unique ability to keep it real, while never diminishing the magic. What a special gift you share with Adam-- and us-- every single day.

Q3, thank you for making this the place to celebrate Adam everyday.
I finally got to hear the Larry Flick interview, and again I have to say how much I appreciate Adam's intelligence and ability to communicate his thoughts and feelings even when not singing.

Does anyone have a link to this interview?

You know, I discovered Mr Lambert, in a conventional sense, three years ago to yesterday, 21 May. The Idol finale had just finished and pictures had been sent around the world on newswires.
Somehow I was on the yahoo or MSN site and I stumbled on an article of Adam and Kris. And I remember the headline on that story was something like: "Simplicity wins over showmanship".
Well we all know that headline doesnt cut it. Its just a simple story someone wanted to tell. And even the pic that went with the article, undermined the writer's message. The winner...cute...very fresh and cute in a Tommy hilfiger way...but the other guy...he just radiated something, that was helluva lot more than "showmanship".
So many forces were involved in that moment three years ago. And then the currents took Adam forward three years, through love, loss, disappointment, triumph and most important, Change.
And as for me, I have been changed by him. I have never known what he was - its too big to pin down in language. But he is a great mentor, apart from a great [many other things].
And here we are, 22 May 2012 at the surge of another moment.
Before the moment, there is a drumbeat for a few bars heralding it. And thats right now. And then there is a pause, possibly miniscule. And its in that pause where the energy builds up - the energy of beginnings and endings is very high.
And then the moment arrives.
