Hi guys. Tonight was the first time I've read the daily news in about 4 days. I am kinda proud of myself actually. I am embarrassed how badly my RL suffers from my stanning. So what's come over me? IDK but I think it is in part the "beautiful release" I feel about Adam's place in history. I am not worried about him going unnoticed anymore so I can stop the constant vigil. I feel such a sense of calming. I believe Adam has found his place in the music world. He has made his mark. He will not be forgotten. I can stop this internal fight between my light and the dark side. But the funny thing is that my expectations of Adam conquering the Universe this round have dropped. I am at peace with the fact that he may not be recognized to the extent he should (which of course is unquantifiably high). But, he has been recognized. By the critics, by his peers, by those in the industry, by his label, by fans of other performers... I think that, just like ATop has innumerable lurkers, so Adam has quiet respect. He has the whole package that, really, is impossible to not see (get your minds out of the gutter, I am trying to be heartfelt!). After this album makes some more waves, after the ripples of Queen, the recognition of Adam is going to grow around the world--and people will have to acknowledge his skills or risk being as obviously biased as the EW reviewer. Slower than it should, but it can not be stopped now. And I think that's enough, even for Adam. He didn't buy that house, as he really had no idea what his future income would be. He is grateful and down to earth and smart. He just wants to make music into the future and be heard. I am confident that this he has accomplished. I bet he is taking a big sigh of relief now. I know I am! I may have found a way to not obsess on ATop quite so much but it isn't because my love for him, or you guys, has diminished. It's just...I guess it's a little like quietly wallowing in the afterglow. Sorry...That got wordy. Word, girl. I think this same calm happened for me after Fantasy Springs. Something about that show....it sold out fast, people from all over the world came to see him and what he did that night with WLL made me feell quite certain that he was going to make it, to do well. Also, my RL had suffered enough with my obsessive stanning, and somehow traveling halfway across our continent, meeting many of the amazing women who love him and experiencing that adventure set me free. I still come here every day. I still love him him with all my heart and listen to his music daily, but I have known and still do that Adam is incredible and his passion and hard work will bring him all the success he desires. TSP is an anthem to pop. It has everything a good pop album should have. And my favorites change every few days because I keep discovering new layers of sound in the songs.

Kanadie
Just a little bit about Springleball:
Last night started off on the wrong foot. They announced Adam Lambert and the band wasn't even on stage yet!! Few minutes passed and the band took stage, then another few minutes before Adam came on and immediately went right into singing. NO time for any type of sound check like he did before taking the stage at KTU. I love how he did a mini soundcheck before that concert.
I could tell Adam was frustrated last night. Weird things with his mic and the backing tracks..
Still a fantastic show but would / could have been so much better for Adam.

www.mtv.com/news/articles/1685638/adam-lambert-trespassing-album.jhtml?xrs=share_twitterAdam Lambert Hits #1 With Trespassing Tenacious D rock it into the #5 slot with Rise of the Fenix Just in time for the "American Idol" finale, former runner-up Adam Lambert is showing the kids how it's done. The glitter-dripping glam rocker will land his first #1 album next week when his sophomore disc, Trespassing
debuts in the top spot on sales of 77,000, according to figures provided by Nielsen SoundScan. He may have given up the glitter, but the press will have it dripping from him for years! I love reading all these #1 blurbs. So awesome.

Hey, susiefierce and others, I saved off an article not long ago that a local reporter did about custom earbuds: Pricey earbuds invade your ears with a customized fit and clean sound: www.statesman.com/life/pricey-earbuds-invade-your-ears-with-a-customized-2089742.html. They start at about $400. It's actually really interesting in terms of Adam too. Omar (the author) recaps this morning's information, that the primary users are musicians who want control over what they hear on stage and to protect their hearing as discussed earlier. Top of the line models have six speakers in them and cost $1350. He also gives an account of having pink foam shot into his ears to have the molds made for the custom fit, an experience he calls "supremely icky."

The one thing I know about the back up singers is that if Adam sees/hears a problem, he will do something about it. He is professional and a perfectionist.

Yep. They haven't sounded on pitch (to me) since Octavia left...you can hear her voice in the AOL sessions...smooth and rich, it blended well with Keisha's voice. I'm side-eying new girl. Sorry. (I know she's a wealth of inside info...but damn! LOL!) I remember some painfully off-key harmonies when Octavia was singing back-up. When she left, my first thought was that she must have been the one off-key and got fired. (Yes, I later read her explanation.) Imma drop this topic now, but just let me say that there could be many reasons the backing singers are not hitting their notes or sounding as "rich" or "smooth." Reasons to do with the sound system and monitors. If it continues once Adam is doing his own shows with his own sound engineers, I will place the blame on the girls. And, most probably, so will Adam, and we will see replacements.

Can we send him that TALC video of Naked Love?? LOL! (you're right of course ) edit/ cassie...perhaps they're all good singers but don't harmonize well. I dunno....I'll wait for Adam to fix it. )
