I have just finished watching the Talc and Jesha YTs of last night's performance. He has managed to blow my mind once again. I'm trying to find words for what I saw and heard. Be patient with me.
Adam has always been a remarkable performer and a consummate singer. He has always emitted a vibrant energy and touching emotions. But, I see/hear something new. It's an image of deep, incredible power ... as a vocalist and as a performer. A power that wells up from the deepest part of himself, and explodes.
I am watching a mature artist pulling out all the stops and commanding the stage and the music. WWFM, as song I had become totally bored with, was brand new. So nuanced. Such virtuoso vocals. Such palpable emotions. Painting tones and colors with his voice. And NCOE, a slight little pop-y tune, was delivered with an operatic aria presence. I would swear that his voice could have filled the arena and levitated people even without the mic.
My God! This man is going to be HUGE! World class across genres. Setting a new standard for singers everywhere. Adam + Queen is going to be rock opera at its pinnacle. Adam on tour is going to be pop/rock/funk/dance/ballad heaven.
Oh, hell. I can't describe what I am hearing, seeing and feeling. Go watch the videos with the sound turned WAY up. It's all there.
