I guess I haven't noticed until now the new arrangement for WWFM. I really like it and it fits with the TRP era. He seems really really happy once he realizes that everyone is singing along -- loudly. I think for a minute there he got a little verklempt.It really looks like he didn't expect that ... " babies you're beautiful" This vid is a treasure.I read the thread news and watch streaming performances with either a stupid grin on my face or misty eyed at the special moments like the WWFM above and wonder if I'm so emotional how do Adam's mom and dad feel. We've had a couple of tweets from Eber and I recall his statement after Idol when someone asked him "How proud are you of Adam?" and Eber replied , "I always been proud of Adam.". And the Idol Tour concert in NJ (pretty sure ) Leila was in the audience with friends and family and looked around at the crowd madness for Adam and was overwhelmed. That's how I'm feeling today along with the rest of you...like he's my child, brother,best friend...soo filled with joy for him. |

I wish these articles would stop diminishing Adam's achievement with that "lowest selling #1 since August" qualifier. It's still the highest selling album of this week, and--correct me if I'm wrong, but I think if you take Adele out of the equation, there would have been plenty of lower selling #1 albums between August and now. Adele's incredible success caused many albums to debut at #2 that otherwise would have been #1 with lower numbers than Adam. Am I right about that, Q3?
I agree with you and I think you're right about Adele. If I had time I guess I could research how much the #2 albums sold.
Maybe these articles should give him kudos for having a #1 album with NO RADIO SUPPORT.You know what, in the record books there will be no asterisks that say *2nd lowest #1 this year (which may be false by the time the actual numbers come out.) Someone mentioned the other day, here I think, that no one says Years later), "Oh, but they only the won the Super Bowl by one point!" A win is a win! The record is there and history has been made! I am not going to let any "qualifiers" ruin this amazing achievement! |

Can't help thinking that Adam made #1 without the benefit of radio.Maybe,JustMaybe ,Adam has made radio's importance a bit irrelevant
you should def tweet this to Adam! How effin' true.I think we should not underestimate the importance of radio play for continued and growing sales/success. WWFM helped make tremendous strides for Adam because of radio play which, IMO, led to his Grammy nom. Pop stars need radio play. |
