To me the highlight of this Grammys was MICK JAGGER!!It was the only time I felt some enegy and felt like dancing and singing! I enjoyed Muse....but, for me, I thought Mick really worked the room and showed how it's done!! He was just FUN to watch. I love for music to be fun and I can just have a really good time.

The only thing for me that compensated for Adam not winning was Arcade Fire's amazing victory. I am beyond thrilled. And Beiber lost, so that is a double win for Canada! YAY!

Wow, Arcade Fire. I enjoy their album in a "play music in the background" kinda way. Every song is about the stupid suburbs and the lyrics get tiresome if you are actually listening to them. But the music is good. My husband loves it. I wonder how many people in the audience had a seizure during their performance! Awesome second performance! Interesting you say this. I always played their last album during dinner parties. Don't know what any of the songs mean, but just liked their sonic effect. Got The Suburbs recently but haven't listened yet.

Hmm....sorry I missed the Arcade Fire performance. Was so disgusted by the "Need You Now" win, I turned off the television and hubby and I called it a night. (Well, and our 3-year old needed a monster chased).

Really, one can't be too sad about Adam tonight. He belongs in the room. He was outside the room last year, and found himself the ET gig as a strategy. I don't think he's ready for the Grammy stage yet in their eyes, even though at the AI finale, his performances with Queen and Kiss showed how he could be on the big stage. It's still all about the songs. Sooo, please Max Martin, write a big hit for Adam that doesn't sound like Madonna or Britney LOL. I would almost agree with you if there wasn't so much nepotism going on -Willow, Gwyneth P.....

I don't think that Arcade Fire was an upset -- one of the most critically acclaimed albums of the year. Too bad "no one" buys rock music anymore. Not a good nite for Pop music -- big awards mostly went rock or country. But I think Esperanza Spalding winning BNA was a pleasant surprise. I love Arcade Fire, and I know their CD did really well. But I was quite surprised that they actually won. I just didn't expect it. I am happy with the win, though, and my 21 year old son may actually have something positive to say about the grammies for once. (Arcade Fire is his favorite band.)
