When I heard that Queen was performing during the closing ceremonies, I just naturally assumed Adam would be singing. After 6 shows, Queenbert will be rehearsed and ready. Perhaps I'm assuming too much. The only thing I see hindering this commitment would be scheduling. Hope he's there. OMG!

I found some more information about what is planned for the closing ceremony of the Olympics on a British entertainment site called Purple Revolver. www.purplerevolver.com/bulletin/news/122274-british-music-mashup-to-close-olympics-2012.htmlSome highlights (emphasis added): The London 2012 Olympics closing ceremony will celebrate the best of British music in a music mashup by super-producer David Arnold. The spectacular event will be called A Symphony Of British Music and will feature songs ranging from classical composer Edward Elgar to pop star Adele. But organisers refused to confirm any individual acts who will appear in the Olympic Stadium during the show on August 12. Stars who have been tipped to be involved include Sir Paul McCartney and Sir Elton John - and anyone who does appear will only receive a nominal fee of £1 for performing. Artistic director Kim Gavin, who masterminded Take That’s successful comeback shows, promised an extravaganza involving 'our most globally successful musicians' as well as rising stars.*** I have no idea whether Adam will get to sing or not, I sure hope so. The Olympic spectaculars are always incredibly visual and designed to inspire. It will not be about individual performers or like a tacky Superbowl halftime show. Hang on for the ride (hope there is one!).

Not changing the subject...just a quick question.... I keep forgetting to ask why Octavia left? I read a post a day or two ago that mentioned she had said but I missed the why. Thanks guys I'm really behind, and ignorant of everything. Eg: Octavia has gone, why?I remember reading that she felt she was too out of shape to do the shows.

Just as i was trying to get caught up earlier a huge storm rolled in. That's happening every day here lately! I don't want to post anything that's already been posted so I'm just going to say nothing & continue to get caught up.
Kirby Center tomorrow!!! I won't post the John Moser mention of that concert in the newspaper today. Very P.A. I'm just glad he didn't review Trespassing. (Thankful for small favors)

Hang on for the ride (hope there is one!). This says British Music, so therefore Queen and Queen songs are British music. I wouldn't be surprised to hear We Will Rock You and We are the Champions. Therfore, I already picture Adam in the Olympics finale.
