I like how this reviewer can feel the energy in the songs, because that energy is what makes Adam so remarkable. He had this wild, intense, crazy, joyful energy that he infuses into the music so that you feel it too when you listen. That's why it is addicting... Because it makes me feel so good! |

Do you think Adam fans have a well developed, tongue in cheek sense of humor that non fans just don't have? We laugh and think things like the chopped off shorts, the silly, campy dancing are hysterical and "so" Adam..... yet non stans think they are ridiculous (and not the good ridiculous.) Is it the way we look at things? Perhaps everything in our lives? IDK, just trying to understand why everyone is not stanning this man! because it is just so much damn fun! (Sorry to get so philosophical)
I prefer to view it as abandonment which is one of the things I cherish in Adam's performances. He just does what he feels in the moment. I remember him saying once that he worked hard to get to the point where he could do just that.....it worked! He has the power to just "be" -- cool or not. I think we all can admit that it's damn entertaining.I think you have all said it so well - girls (and boys) should just want to have fun. But that requires that you let yourself go and not worry about what the person next to you is thinking. We have so forgotten how to be a little silly - no, we've become embarrassed to be silly because it's not cool. Especially if you're old (and I have no idea what old is). I am right up there at the top of embarrassed - it is very hard to let it all hang out :-/ ETA: All that "we" - generic we ;D |
