Please feel free to ignore this grumpy post...scroll, scroll, scroll
I think i'm probably the only one but after 3 years of stanning Adam, i guess i'm over critiquing every single thing he wears. Sometimes I feel like he can't win. Idk. Imo, some things are pretty comment worthy, like those shorts yesterday ;D, but I really don't scrutinize everything I guess. I think he looks good today. I like that he likes to change things up. Between the Idol outfit and those tight leather pants, the dollar sign shirt and the studded shorts, I don't think there is any danger of him being too conservative any time soon. Whatever. Jmo.

But how difficult can it be to get a basic, sound mix right? I am sure there is some art involved but much of it should be routine for a professional. Very very very difficult. Here's a couple of articles about the greatest sound man to walk the earth. U2's sound guru Joe O'Herlihy. clairglobal.com/u2/www.atu2.com/news/no-ordinary-joe-1.html (written in 1993) and a youtube interview with Joe. Part 1 www.youtube.com/watch?v=FYpbvvbcvdgPart 2 www.youtube.com/watch?v=zPutiqCC4kk&feature=channel&list=ULSound is hellishly complicated even for a small group in a small venue. Unfortunately many artists do not pay as diligent attention to sound as people like Adam and U2. One of the things that has helped make U2 one of the best live acts ever has been the quality and consistency of their sound. Unfortunately finding another Joe O'Herlihy isn't just a matter of money. Thanks so much for the links. I really enjoyed learning a bit more about the art of sound.

RE: Sound issues-- One thing I remember from the GNT was that at least for the last segment of the tour (after Costa Mesa), Adam hired Beyonce's sound person and paid him better, too (I know we had this information here somewhere). After that, I don't think there were many more issues with the sound. I guess he must not have been available for this promo tour--sadly. I hope that Adam can get this person again! He needs to develop a relationship with an incredible sound person and just keep the person on retainer somehow.
My understanding with that guy (name escapes me now) is that Adam convinced him to do Quebec (I remember seeing this guy). @merrycello talked this guy in Quebec. Apparently, he and Adam did or almost came to blows previously. I don't think they could continue to work together even though Adam thought this guy was the best of them all supposedly.

Don't worry.. if he ever wear something conservative like that black suit and white shirt he wore on MMA 2009 or that Clive Davis Party last year, he will make it modern with his hair or his jewelry.. ;D ;D ;D ;D
