What an interesting thread today

The BTIKM 'pomegranate' reading was a miss, but the only one, as I remember? That video was so full of carefully chosen symbols and all of them have been decyphered here very successfully, so I don't think it's fair to imply that the fans read too much into it.

Also, it's not fair to imply that NCOE lacks content because someone/Adam has failed to come up with any? Just look at the BTIKM video, lol. NCOE looks exactly like Adam wanted it to look.

I love the video.

That being said, I also think that there is something like 'general impression' and it comes before analysing the video to details. My general impression: Adam is hot as balls and the first viewing was spent in watching in awe his impeccably gorgeous facial features.

The video story is as light as the lyrics themselves: it illustrates, it offers an alternative viewing of the song, but it doesn't go too deep. Just like the song.

Visually, Dori borrows from Lucas, but the whole 'refusing to take the pill and inciting his co-'patients' to rebel' is so 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest' for me.

The pill: I think Serbian Prime Time News would illustrate best what the pill means. It's just blinding, brainwashing BS, coming from anywhere. And yes, there's no punisment when he crushes the pill, because it's not a movie, it's just an allegory...

I like it how Adam has the power to turn the pill into colour, into this force which creates the forcefield later, and pushes out the grey... Maybe it's not external, maybe he actually crushes his own prejudices and misconceptions...

But my favourite part of the video is Adam standing in front of the bluish/rainbowish protective shield! Talk about putting his own stamp into BM's generic lyrics:) The shield I really believe exists in front of Adam is 100% hate/BS proof:) And it is made in Adam/OGGlamberts workshop:)))

The only thing I disliked was the quality of the neon suits. They looked like my Nanny made them by hand and totally hid the fabulosity of Adam's body. *drool*

I still have to think about the colour scheme: the shield and the first hint of colour is blue, idk why, the suits are red and yellow, idk why that either, other than they are all prime colours and by mixing them you get all other tints and hues and nuances of the pallette. That must be it! Adam gives us the props to colour our worlds in whichever hue we want, he doesn't do it for us or chooses instead of us.
