OMG... Can anyone please tell me that when other idols released their MV videos, they all received all these coverage and reaction?? Alright I don't follow other artists but Adam, so I don't know if other artist also get these reactions. I want to know this as well. It seems to be so much. I can't even keep up.

No one from Idol is close to this level of coverage for a MV. Right now Adam is >>>>>>> Idol alums but <<< Gaga, Perry and Rhianna.

Okay last post and then I've got to get ready for work. I understand if some people feel that the video could have had more amazing effects, more dancing, more etc. But seriously, take any 5 random videos from the VH1 Top 20 and you'll quickly see that most MVs are pretty dull and uninspired. Unless you've got Gaga amounts of cash, of course, in which case you get to make freakishly expensive videos that are more WTF than anything else. Adam gets huge credit from me for always thinking outside the box and being so creative with his videos. And I love him even more for making videos that reflect some aspect of his personality. In this case, the power of positivity to make change and to break free. Pretty awesome, I think. (I expect you to break out in dance at work today, with bright neon clothes on. K?)

I haven't gotten my FAULT magazine either. Hope we didn't all get ripped off. Today is the first day in my life that I've ever been assigned to the camp of people who don't like to think. Ah, the new experiences that we have because of Adam. I've understood the video better over the course of the day in large part due to interesting comments left by many of you. I've also realized my expectations were too high. I shouldn't have expected Hemingway when the source material was Mars. Making a story from this song was a tall order. Storytelling is an art form, like painting and music. It is low on the totem pole when it comes to music videos. It would have been icing on the cake to have good storytelling but oh well. It's still a yummy cake. I love the costumes and dancing and Adam looks amazing. NCOE is my least favorite of Adam's videos so far but that is more good news!!! That means it'll probably be a smash.

So I love the music video. I definitely had to watch it a few more times, since the first time at 6am I wasn't fully awake.
So what I want to know is if Adam has re-applied to the Illuminati?
I say this in jest, really it is a very good video.
p.s. I played the leak for my mom (not huge Adam fan) when I visited her a few weeks ago and told her to buy the album...and she did!

Love all the opinions about the vid. Am I being too literal interpreting that the blue vapors come from Adam crushing the blue pill instead of eating it, his pupils remain undilated because he did not take the pill, so he has enough energy to break free? Then he puts up his blue vapor force field to fend off the bad guys ( who are amusingly in white, not black) to keep from the toxic ( bad guys face masks) smoke. Love Adam as leader and he has yet to meet a camera that doesn't love him. And the big brother red eye is never closed, so could represent the continuous scrutiny of being a celebrity. Ooh, LOVE your interpretations

" However, my take is that there is no threat. This is not a prison. It is just life. It is us going about our everyday lives. Going to work, living the nine to five. There are people about us living life fabulously and we don't notice because we are too busy being the working drones that we are. The possibilities are right in front of us, but we just don't grab them.
The video focuses on Adam as the individual. As in life, it is up to the individual. If we want to, we can make our life different. It is that simple and that complex.
I found your questions interesting, because the questions indicate that you are looking for the enemy. The enemy is conformity and the fact that we don't even realize how much we have bought into it." Sorry for spamming BUT I am so INCREDIBLY impressed by the various analyses of the video- honestly, I just love the way you think
