mindchnger @mindchnger 2Day FM (Australia) podcast now up bit.ly/JLNLSQ direct link: bit.ly/JLNJKZ (they made Adam identify animal sex noises, lol) holy shit... how many conversations are going on at once in this link?? they are talking all at once.... what is that? I closed it once because I thought I opened two different links but then i opened it again and it's doing it again... that's annoying as hell...I can't even listen to it.

lol I don't hate you. However, I disagree with you. The fact that there is no overt threat, that people quietly take their pills, do their drudgery, and put up with constant surveillance is true to the world we live in. Over 10% of Americans are on antidepressants. Most work at jobs where there is constant drudgery. Most put up with surveillance without noticing it. The main problem with this mv might be this attachment to reality, hence the lack of melodrama. No one's tortured, but, you know, we don't overtly torture people in our society. We do it in a very different way. There is "escape" of sorts, but it doesn't involve physical escape, a physical breaking down of institutions. It's a perceptual change in the way we look at our lives, which the "artist," makes possible. [/quote] Yes, the lives of 'quiet desperation', I am so incredibly impressed with everyone today (still, or is that again ?)

Remember Chunky and The Home Planet? Just starting to read, so here's the link: www.thehomeplanet.org/2012/05/inside-the-music-video-actors-studio-never-close-our-eyes/Welcome once again to the internets most respected look ~inside what makes a music video actor tick. We get to the nitty, the gritty, and leave nothing on the table. Tonight we are thrilled to be joined once again with singer, song writer, leopard shirt purveyor, and icon in the making–Adam Lambert–as we sit down to discuss his music video for the single Never Close Our Eyes. It’s a dark and disturbing trip into the post apocalyptic dystopian future and it is sure to chill one to the bone. Join us, won’t you? I've missed Chunky at ATOP - this piece is hilarious! And I know Adam would love it - hope he gets to see it. And I hope Chunky will drop in here again...

@mmyy9: 2day FM Kyle & Jackie O Show Australia ADAM LAMBERT Interview Aired 5-29-12 ("I missed first part, podcast probably be up soon!" www.2dayfm.com.au/shows/kyleandjackieo/listen/podcasts ) [soundcloud]http://soundcloud.com/mmyy9x/2012-05-30-2dayfm[/soundcloud] ETA Weird! 'Which animals are mating?" ??? This interview is a sad waste of Adam's time. So many things he could have been talking about instead we got animal mating sounds? Somebody commented on the horrible djs we have here and I thought to myself that it is just that this career attracts loud mouth immature attention seekers. This interview sorta shows me that dj may have a similar trait in other countries too. Feel bad for Adam.

I'm not going to have time to read the whole thread tonight, but I did want to add my 2 cents worth.
I really liked the video. I'll have to see it a few more times before I can decide if I'll love it or not. But I'm a science fiction fan (while so many will be heading west to Burning Man, I'll be heading in the other direction to Dragoncon!).
I think that doing a dystopian themed video is brilliant, with dystopian novels being so popular in young adult fiction at the moment. Sticking with the YA fiction concept, the force field bubble holding off the smoke was a bit Twilight (although it irritated me to no end in Breaking Dawn, while I loved seeing Adam do it).
About it being bland and boring? It was supposed to be. ;D That was the story. That's what he was rescuing everyone from. Cheesy effects - yes, but considering the budget they probably had, I think they did pretty good.

Lambert just released his “Never Close Our Eyes” video. As for the sci-fi concept, Lambert explained, “The one thing that I was really excited about was maybe something sort of science fiction. Something kind of New World Order, in the future. Something not of this reality. When we put that out there, a gentleman called Dori Oskowitz came back with an amazing treatment. This director is a really cool guy, totally on the same page as me.” In regards to Lambert’s future plans, the singer is excited to fill in for the late Freddy Mercury with Brian May and Roger Taylor of Queen. I am always attracted to your posts irish but this is what I LOVE AND HATE about ATop. Love that Adam can do no wrong here, but hate that Adam can do no wrong here too. sometimes I need a friend that only LIKES Adam to tell me when I have gone over the love-is-blind deep end. Anyone?...didn't think so. Everyone here must be an Adam fan -- but there is no rule -- official or unofficial -- that says that anyone has to love Adam or love everything he does. I actually doubt that there is any fan that honestly love everything about Adam and everything he does. I am not a fan of the spiky shorts, I love his current hair but I am mostly here for the music -- and that is what I choose to post about. Would I make anyone's life any better if I posted a long piece about those shorts? Not really, so I chose to pass on commenting on the spiky shorts. Would another "love the hair" post really add anything to the world. I doubt it. That said, most of us are surrounded by people who are all too willing to point out weaknesses in Adam plus there are many other websites that serve that purpose. This place serves a different purpose -- it give fans a chance to connect with other fans and to comment -- and even to disagree.<Bracing for a defense of the spiky shorts. The only nice thing I can say is that they are >>> aqua board shorts.> I think perhaps that's why it's sometimes hard to hear criticism of Adam on this site (for me) because there are so many sites where he is hated or criticized :-[
