Fuck Rolling Stone Mag. I just finished watching the DVD on my TV with my Bose speakers. (No spoilers, promise.) What a tour de force! First and foremost, who sings that well, that powerfully, that emotionally and that consistently live????? Adam Lambert, that's who. The vocals sound too good to be true. The sound production let's that voice shine. Every word is clear. Every note right on. Frankly, the sound is better than I heard in the concert hall, where everything was so loud it tended to be muddy. With the sound on the DVD, Adam's voice and delivery are even more impressive. Altho they trimmed the time between numbers, the DVD shows the performance straight through, and the energy Adam maintains and even escalates is impressive. By the time we reach the final section of celebration, the joy transcends the medium and you feel it and get swept up in it sitting in your living room. I am so glad and grateful that RCA decided to release this. If it is not universally embraced now, I am willing to bet a month's salary that in the future it will be considered a classic; the epitome of a stellar live performance from start to finish. Cassie, I think you should just write all the reviews from now on! Can't wait to get mine tomorrow.

Hey guys! I ordered my copy of GNT from Amazon, but now I see this limited edition thing on AO. I really don't need the poster but the Tshirt looks kinda cool. Price is kinda steep. Anybody got theirs yet? Curious about how the tshirt fits. I know some of the tour merch was really small. ???

Name listed for the review is Barry Walters. thanks Did an update on the previous page. He is listed as a senior critic at RS and did something about "deconstructing Freddie Mercury". Anyway, I am going to just fade into the evening. I need to relax. Long week.

Well this makes me feel better, because I received my RS mag today and read the review. My take was the guy totally acknowledged Adam's vocal chops/ability/talent, but, he seems to want a less choreographed performance. My opinion only, if Adam is going more vocal and more organic for album #2, his next tour will probably also reflect this and not have the same choreography as the first tour. Many different sides, as WE all know, Rolling Stone is probably waiting for the more vocal and organic Adam to appear. I actually believe they like him, after album #2 comes out it will be interesting to see what they have to say. Cayman, who wrote the review? His name is Barry Walters. He only reviewed three DVDS: Simon and Garfunkel - 5 stars Adam - 3 stars Wheedle's Groove - 3.5 stars

I was puzzled why, after so much coverage of Adam prior to his cd release, RS sort of just ignored him. After he gave them their best selling cover they didn't even cover his tour. But I got over it because a certainty came over me that the day would come that they would be kissing his ass along with all those radio PDs that won't play his music. I have no doubt they are tentatively changing their tune. Adam's very successful tour and Grammy nom had to have pinged their radar. They could very well have ignored the DVD like they dismissed the tour. Actually the review was not horrible, they made some pretty positive statements. I don't care but I know the day will come that they will be offering him the cover again and a petty part of me wants Adam to say "no thanks", haha.

Thanks MyS*&@^#r....I've had it on all day trying to stretch it out !! I wish I had gotten a Medium, instead of a small. The neck is kinda tight and the cut is slender, but at least it runs long. (If I had a little less midriff bulge, it would fit OK lol)
Welcome Gingerpf !!! ...just noticed that this was your first post at the new Atop.

I'll be in LA in May - Imma call u & we can hook up for lunch, k?? Thanks for the info on the tshirt - guess I'll just throw more money into Adam's pockets. Wonder how much he actually gets on a tshirt sale?
