Thanks for the context on the RS review. As far as the playacting comment, if they mean that stage Adam is not everyday RL Adam, then even Adam would agree with that. It's glam rock, RS, It's supposed to be over the top. It's supposed to be fun and playful. Well, ladies , at least even RS thinks he wears too many clothes. Strip, Adam, Strip. I can certainly support fewer clothes!!! Regarding Aftermath Remix being sent to US radio -- so far there is no indication that RCA will support it with promo $$ -- and that means that it will get only limited airplay in the US. Things can change but it would make little sense for RCA or Adam to spend a few hundred thousand dollars to build this into a moderate hit. And even $1 million will not make it a #1 song. I expect scattered airplay. Q3 any guesses as to why they decided to send it to radio at all if that is the case? (I will happily request it no matter what, but I'm wondering, as this seems to contradict the "don't release a single if it won't be hit" theory). And a somewhat odd question, but I'm jonesing for the Live DVD and since it isn't due to be delivered to me until next Wednesday, I think I might search for it in the stores, but I'm reluctant to shop at Walmart or Target for political reasons. Anywhere else peeps have heard that it might be on sale?

Fuck Rolling Stone Mag. I just finished watching the DVD on my TV with my Bose speakers. (No spoilers, promise.) What a tour de force! First and foremost, who sings that well, that powerfully, that emotionally and that consistently live????? Adam Lambert, that's who. The vocals sound too good to be true. The sound production let's that voice shine. Every word is clear. Every note right on. Frankly, the sound is better than I heard in the concert hall, where everything was so loud it tended to be muddy. With the sound on the DVD, Adam's voice and delivery are even more impressive. Altho they trimmed the time between numbers, the DVD shows the performance straight through, and the energy Adam maintains and even escalates is impressive. By the time we reach the final section of celebration, the joy transcends the medium and you feel it and get swept up in it sitting in your living room. I am so glad and grateful that RCA decided to release this. If it is not universally embraced now, I am willing to bet a month's salary that in the future it will be considered a classic; the epitome of a stellar live performance from start to finish. I cannot wait to get my DVD (should be shipped on 22 I think) :D :D :D :D

Cayman -- mark me as a skeptic that they can predict earthquakes. But if they can predict them and if it is "only" a 6.0, it should not cause major structural damage in LA -- only to structurally deficient buildings. But having been thru a couple major quakes and losing a house to a hurricane, I learned that "stuff" doesn't matter -- cause you can always buy a new TV or car (if you have great insurance) -- but people really matter. Puts things into perspective. I totally agree. I lived in LA for 25 years & a 6.0 quake is really not that bad, unless you're just right on top of the friggin' epicenter. I can understand why people are nervous because all the quakes on the Pacific Rim could POSSIBLY trigger a quake on the San Andreas but I'm thinking that most of the pressure was relieved in Japan. And I'd like to know WHO is predicting this quake??? Pretty sure it's not CalTech or any of the scientific community???

My guess is that RCA released it to radio because Adam wanted it released, some PDs wanted to play it and it is low-risk -- it is a charity single, so OK if it is not a hit. The GN Live DVD will be in Best Buy and Barnes & Nobel -- but more expensive.

I am sorry, I got a phone call from son who lives in LA. He is worried about his flat screen TV and car, seems on the news there they are saying it is 99% chance between the 19th and 26th LA will have an earthquake of 6.0. This will be Kevin's first earthquake, IF, it happens. I asked him if he wanted to come home for that week. He said he could not, needs to work to pay the bills. I told him to get online and find out what he needs for earthquake kits for home and car. That is when he says, I am ONLY worried about my flat screen TV and my car. : His apartment has underground parking, wanted to know if I thought he should park his car on the street for that week???????? He is 25 going on............I do not even know what to say!!!!!!!! I didn't tell him that I really do not give a flying fish about his TV or car, I was cool, calm and collected. :D Anyway, sorry it took me so long to answer. Cayman, I lived in LA for 35 years. I lived thru the Northridge Earthquake, which was two 6.2 earthquakes within seconds of each other. It was pretty devastating. There is such a grid of faults in the LA area, having a 6.0 and its effects have a lot to do with which fault line moves and whether it is located on land or out in the ocean. You can really feel the rocking and rolling and it's so quick that by the time you react, it's over. It's the after shocks that become very disconcerting. My oldest brother was visiting from NY when it happened early in the moring. He was scared shitless. Typically peeps put earthquake straps on electronic equipment, which prevents them from falling over. All my art work had special earthquake hangars. He might want to put away anything of value. As far as himself, it just happens so quickly. He would be safe to have a blanket and food and drinks in his car, just in case. Great suggestions, smokey. I've lived in earthquake country somewhere around the world for most of my life, but have been fortunate enough to avoid all of the big ones (Mexico, NorCal, SoCal, Japan). I think it is a great idea to try to earthquake proof your place, as best as possible (straps on TV, bookshelves are a good idea). However, if and when a big one hits, I think that there are things that just cannot be avoided such as damage to cars, buildings, and injury to people. Having said all of this, cayman, tell your son, there is NO WAY anyone would be able to predict earthquakes in the range of days. It has to be a hoax. Any reputable source that gives any prediction is in the range of "within the next 30 years" or something like that. Though, being prepared and expect to encounter an earthquake any day (after all we do live in earthquake country) is a good idea. Stock up on water and emergency supplies! ETA: saw Q3 and rabbit's replies. I was going to also comment on the "only 6.0" issue, but I also realize that for those who have never really experienced earthquakes, ANY shaking can be terrifying. For example, I have never experienced tornadoes, so those scare the bejesus out of me

A 6.0 will rock and roll snd shake but unless he is in a very old building, he really shouldn't worry. All the freeways have been retrofitted since the Northridge quake, as have many, many buidings.

People! Stop bitching at RS! At least they reviewed the DVD/CD & I really do think they LIKE Adam. They gave him a ton of coverage right after Idol. I think they realize he's definitely a force to be reckoned with & they better keep on his good side. If they piss him off he won't do any more covers for them! Works both ways.

My husband and I watch the DVD, listen to all the CDs, acoustic and FYE, and all you can hear is: "Oh My God, is there anyone out there who can touch that man? Look at him. He is so incredible."
We act like we did the first time we saw Adam on stage, and we are still overwhelmed with wonder and joy at Adam. He is the most special man I have ever been attached to, and my husband doesn't ordinarily like anyone, male or female. He is grouchy in his old age. But he loves Adam. It takes us back to the beginning of our life together before we got married and our life was a drunken orgy most of the time. Adam takes us back to our romantic, hot, crazy past. I think that is why we love Adam so much.
I just don't understand people who aren't interested. I hope a lot of people get access to the DVD and see what a wonderful performer Adam is. I think they will be shocked at what an incredible talent he is. "Fuck Rolling Stone Mag." These are my sentiments too. I copied that from above.

Cool, just reserved a copy at the local B&N in case of emergency, and the higher price is justified by not having to drive out of town to find a big box store.

The forecaster is Jim Berkland. Here is his interview on Fox www.youtube.com/watch?v=xQXDt4VdS0E He is predicting a North American earthquake -- not specifically a So Cal quake. Most geologists do not buy the lunar causation theories.
