I read that article that Q3 posted above. I listen to top40 and that's all I listen to and all I like. I notice the patterns that it goes through. I know that we are now emerging out of that LMFAO super electronic, dance, pop, sound ie. Pitbull, JLo etc. I think that's going to die out as it's super repetitive and the same. I don't like rock or WGWG music or any of the AC station crap. My age demographic is on the upper age of the top 40 target market. In 100% honesty I think Trespassing is the best CD I've heard since I fell in love with Lady GaGa's first CD, Monster (not a big fan of the 2nd). This has nothing to do with being a fan of Adam. I may not publically vocalize anything I dislike of Adam's but at the same time I won't say I like something if I don't. I just say nothing I notice his older fans want the more rock sound but it's just not a sound that's current today. To me Trespassing is the sound of the next stage. I don't know if some realize just how good it really is because it might not be geared to that particular demographic. It's not what's on the radio now yet at the same time it is. It's the next step above. It's way superior to what's on their now. It's much more complex. It's updated retro. I hope the PD's are astute enough to see it. I know my friends who range in age from 22-28 agree with me that it's the best pop album out there. I know a lot of the UK media have seemed to realize it but they always tend to be a step ahead of the US as far as musical taste (We'll forgive them for Cher Lloyd and 1D) - maybe Nice post. I am an older fan but I really get that Top 40 stations are geared to their demographic. It's about business and the advertising getting to the correct audience. I absolutely love Trespassing and to me it is what you say - it's current but also taking pop to the next level. Adam has made it abundantly clear that he created a POP album and wants success on the pop format. If someone wants to define success for him differently, or choose different songs based on their own personal tastes and not the target demo's, that's irrelevant to Adam and his goals. For anyone who wants to help Adam's career and not hurt him, they need to understand that Top 40 has it's demographic, it's not a slam on anyone who is outside of that demographic, and to insist that radio bend to their desires is counterproductive in many ways.

Did you try clicking on the blue letters even tho it doesn't look like a link? Was this response aimed at me?? Yes, I clicked on the blue letters!! I haven't been able to access that new feature ever since Q3 added it to ATOP. At least not on Chrome.

Nice interview... the interviewer has a damn sexy voice too. Yes, Jian G has a PERFECT radio voice, and what I love is that he is always respectful towards his guests. It was a great 30-minute interview this morning, and I was HAPPY that Jian played three clips from Trespassing: BTIKM, Outlaws of Love, and Broken English. I just wish he'd included a clip from Shady or one of the other dance songs. Awwww.I loved that interview, really. It was so real-they both were! And Jians voice is really soft and warm and (must admit Adam is not the only one : sexy! ;D

I think it may be a bit of a generalization that older fans would prefer that he does rock. I know that there are older fans that do want him doing rock but I know MANY fans in my age category that feel as I do.

www.vh1.com/music/tuner/?p=208677&xrs=share_twitterShearer’s Spotlight: The Dark Shadow Of American Idol Over the last decade, the world of popular music has discovered that most American Idol contestants, though very talented, aren’t necessarily artists: Performers who write their own songs and/or are really good at personalizing the ones written for them. The days of frosted hair and Kelly & Justin frolicking on a beach are over. Other ways to dodge the Shadow include: Pure talent (Jennifer Hudson); writing radio-friendly rock songs with your band (Chris Daughtry); having “Battlefield” and “S.O.S.” in your repertoire, dating a fellow pop-star, and starring in a movie with Whitney Houston (Jordin Sparks); or having the promise of being the greatest frontman on the planet as soon as the right rock band takes you hostage (Adam Lambert).
