The one thing I love about Adam's album so much is that each day brings a new favorite. I'll be riding along, CD cranked, singing along (or not) and all of a sudden will hear something new. Then I'll wonder why I didn't hear that before. So, repeat and then marvel at the sound, texture, layer, whatever, play it again -- new favorite for the day. Tomorrow it will be some new piece of a song that comes to light. Most exciting are the change-ups that have already come to light with Adam's live radio-fest preformances. Cuckoo is my favorite live and I love how he has incorporated the band introductions along with it. This is such a fun era. TAKE A MINUTE AND MAKE YOUR RADIO REQUESTS!! I know! The whole album is so good! Honestly, I love all of the songs, and replay different ones on different days, and replay the entire album every day, lol! |

I'll agree that Wlkes Barre sounded and looked incredible from start to finish, but have to disagree about the other concerts only having a few instances that transcended excellence. Fantasy Springs BO was breathtaking, but WLL was legendary. A moment (or 8 minutes) frozen in time where you knew you were witnessing something you would never forget.
SusieFierce, I agree about Fantasy Springs WLL being a transcendant moment - I just didn't want to list two songs from the same show in my post, when we have so many examples from many shows of Adam going above and beyond the wonderful.
Maybe we need a sub-thread called "Magic Adam Moments" where people can list their favorite live AFL performances? (Is there already a thread for this? Mods?) |

I really liked this review too. It was thoughtful and I appreciate that. Personally, though, I'm all about the light side. I think the first 7 songs are amazing. On the dark side, I love Chokehold and Nirvana the most. Then Take Back and Runnin.  I have to confess that I often don't make it to the dark side though. I like to dance ! Me too, kathleen. I usually listen to the first 7 songs, then skip to the Bonus tracks. Love the Bonus tracks. Then I go back to the first 7 songs. On the 2nd or 3rd time around I listen to tracks 8-12. And it's not because I don't love 8-12, because I do. It's that I FLOVE 1-7 and 13-15!! I have to repeat them about 3 times before I move on! LOL I have the very same routine when listening to the CD! For me, there's been so much goodness in May that I can't even select just one thing to highlight. I loved everything for different reasons and it's all good! |

Don't forget #1 Digital album in US and Canada, Q3, because those are separate charts than #1 album.
