I'm linking to their rendition of The Show Must Go on. www.youtube.com/watch?v=W0sViAbmgkwI actually really like Marc Martel's voice, it sounds incredibly like Freddie, so a perfect pick for the tribute band. What I realize is that a) he has zero stage presence and b) most importantly, his vocals don't convey the lyrics/emotion of the songs. They all have a similar dynamic to them, even when he sings the proper notes. I guess that's the it factor missing. And I'm not jumping on him, like I said, I really like the tone of his voice as it is the closest - tone-wise - that I've ever heard to Freddie. No need to be negative or compare him to Adam, it just proves how hard it is to convey something as elusive as star power. In any case, look at this crowd! They're all sitting down - it's not dinner theatre folks! |

I´m sorry to upset you guys. It´s just that when I hear Adam I immediately know It´s Adam and I can honestly say that if I heard this song on the radio I would not jump up and down screaming "EEEEEEE it´s Adam f***ing Lambert on the radio". Perhaps it is the Sade and the Caribbean vibe. But I like it. It´s a nice song easy on the ears.

I´m sorry to upset you guys. It´s just that when I hear Adam I immediately know It´s Adam and I can honestly say that if I heard this song on the radio I would not jump up and down screaming "EEEEEEE it´s Adam f***ing Lambert on the radio". Perhaps it is the Sade and the Caribbean vibe. But I like it. It´s a nice song easy on the ears. Yeah it's not the kind of thing I'd listen to all the time, but it's really good beach / sunny day music. |

It totally sounds like Adam to me. And I love the vibe of the song, StingSadeReggaewhatever 8-). Awesome that he's trying different styles. Thanks monsterdeto for uploading it.

Been lurking for ages, decided to register to share with you guys that I received my trespassing japanese edition today! Weird that it arrived so early...the release date is 6/6. Wow, all the comments on By The Rules not sounding like Adam! All those fake leaks have made people so paranoid that they can't hear *the voice*?  I know! It's clearly his voice.. so unmistakeable and evident with headphones. even without headphones it sounds just like him. His voice is beautiful on the song but I'm not sure I like the beat. It's def not one I'd put on repeat like I did underneath when I first got my CD. |
